The Certified Public Manager I (CPM I) course is amazing in and of itself, but today was exceptional. Mr. Clasberry is a dynamic, energetic and motivational speaker and teacher. His ability to weave the principles, strategies and tools of the Growth Mindset Training seamlessly into the realities of our everyday life was mind-blowing. I was able to clearly see my personal strengths and weaknesses and see how the decisions I make or do not make (procrastination) impact my life. The exercise and discussion about scheduling a conference for “Me, myself and I” helped me realize how I routinely pour into others, but not always into myself. The significance of this exercise is transformational because it forces you to reflect on your life and all of your decisions, whether good or bad.
This particular course should, in my opinion, be required for all individuals who are or who want to be a transformational leader because the lessons are evidence-based (real life experiences) and applicable, if you truly are ready to do the work. The awareness questions were very insightful personally because they serve as guidance for creating my life’s action plan and I believe they will assist with my personal development and fulfillment.

I have heard Mr. Claspers speak twice now (for CPM I & CPM II) and both times, he has challenged me to my core! He encouraged me to dig deep (I hate self-reflection) and learn who I am and what direction I need to be going. He has helped me to recognize that pouring life/love into others, but I need to also pour into myself and what that might look like (rest, personal time, more time with the Lord, having fun). Rev. Clasberry did an awesome job teaching the leadership training class today -"Leading from Within". He taught us it is impossible to have success within or without, without self-discipline in your life. Rev. Clasberry put his best into all the classes he has taught up to this point. Mr. Clasberry did a fabulous job speaking to students at Billingsley School. He spoke to a K-6 grade group and then a 7-12th grade group. He connected with both groups immediately and kept their interest throughout. He made good and relevant points during both assemblies. He took time out of his schedule to visit our school prior to the assembly to get a feel for the student body and the environment. He took the knowledge he gained and put it together for messages that connected to the students. I highly recommend for other speaking opportunities.

We had the pleasure of having LaMarr speak at our annual CA Workshop. The audience consisted of all women ages 25 to 65 what a challenge! He was so captivating and his message of "If it's to be, it starts with me" hit home for alot of us. sometimes we get wrapped up in our jobs and family and responsibilities that we forget to take care of ourselves.
