Hiring our band gets you an evening of exciting live improvised music and a special warm welcoming environment. Our audiences appreciate melodic groove-oriented music with top notch musicians. Slowly over an evening we'll build our musical repertoire to reach a crescendo varying our songs to include bluesy, cool and hard driving jazz and latin music.
Curbside Collective delivers a vibrant, dynamic sound that fuses smoky, raw jazz with gritty, down-home grooves. Renowned for both their original pieces and interpretations of classic jazz compositions, the band delves into a rich musical tapestry. They seamlessly blend the cool sophistication of hard-bop, the sensual rhythms of bossa-nova, and the infectious energy of funk.
With contemporary influences flowing through their work, Curbside Collective brings a modern twist to timeless jazz traditions, crafting a sound that is both genuine and unique.
Curbside Collective is a top notch quintet features Laurence Santos on tenor saxophone, Norm Quinn on Flugelhorn and Trumpet, George Goodall on bass, JP Larpin on drums. Haig Armen on guitar also brings the majority of the original compositions to the group. The quintet’s live show features lively improvisations from each player and showcases their back and forth musical conversations.
