As an artist, I love to find different ways to transform my clients into a work of art or enhance their natural beauty. I also believe that continued education in the beauty industry is the key to success because there are always new innovations coming into our world every day. There is never a job too big or too small. I will go above and beyond to deliver fantastic results as well as bring an enjoyable and memorable enviornment with me no matter where I go. My clients choose me for my skills, professionalism, personality, positive attitude, and vision. There is no better satisfaction to me than making you look and feel your very best, while also putting you at ease so that you can enjoy every part of your day.

Shaina Meck is a California Native, born and raised. She has been thriving in the beauty industry for 10+ years now. She attended Make-Up Designory in Burbank, California straight out of high school to futher her education in beauty and special effects. After working as a Make-Up Artist 6 years, she then decided to attend the Cosmetology program at West Valley Occupational Center. Shaina is licensed in North Carolina as well as California making her a dual licensed hairstylist and make-up artist.

She was first attracted to the creativity and flexibility of the industry. Now her passion is guiding others to see the beauty in themselves! Seeing the smile on her client's face when their new look is revealed, whether it's a make-up transformation, color, or a new style, fires Shaina's passion even more. With many classes and certifications under her belt, she is a firm believer that continuing education is the key to success. To this day, Shaina continues to further her education with Pulpriot, Redken, Schwarzkopf, and Neuma. She is certified in Babe tape in extensions, Donna Bella sew in extensions, Brazilian Blowout, and Keratin Complex treatments. She is also certified with the Business of Balayage as a balayage specialist. Before moving to Raleigh, her clientele consisted of unicorn hair, balayage, highlights, and long lengths to cute edgy cuts. She loves being well rounded in each area to offer a broad spectrum for her clients.

She has worked on numerous photo shoots, special events, as well as with many other talented make-up and special effects artists, such as: Gage Munster, Marcel Banks, Jo Holland (Face-Off Season 1), Greg Lightner (Face-Off Season 2), Kris Kobzina (Face-Off Season 4), Laney Parkhurst, also known as Laney Chantal (Face-Off Season 5), and Johnny Leftwich (Face-Off Season 10). While make-up will always be her first love, hair has taken over her love for the industry. Constantly craving new information and growth when she began doing hair in 2013, she absorbed everything she could possibly learn about hair. She loves not only the business side of the industry, but she also loves connecting with her clients. Customer Service sits at the top of her values when it comes to her work, priding herself in the art of her consultation and attention to detail. Listening to clients and open communication is crucial. Shaina is a true artist. She is able to customize really any look by adding in small details like face framing to get to the desired look a client is looking for. She values each and every client and always ensures that her clients feel comfortable in their own skin and leave feeling rejuvenated, happy, and the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. She truly has created a safe space for honest feedback for all clients in the salon.

Its no secret that she loves all things spooky and Disney.
Shaina's vacations usually consist of a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains to enjoy the cool breeze with her husband. Listening to music, watching a movie, scrolling through Pinterest hair and make-up boards, or watching educational videos is what keeps her on her toes when it comes to inspiration. In her past life, she could have been a elementary school teacher with her love for children.

One (1) “Service” means either one full-face makeup service or one hair service. For example, makeup and hair counts as two (2) Services.
(b) Makeup Service includes traditional foundation and strip lashes (lashes are optional).
(c) Hair Service includes any hot-tool, braiding, and styling services. Hair Services are performed on dry hair only. WedLocks does not offer any wet-styling or blow-drying services unless agreed upon before with an extra fee.

Location of Service for the Event Date will be at the discretion of the Client, but there are certain requirements the Little Shop of Hairdos Professional(s) needs to complete the makeup/hair Services. A “set up” table/work area needs to be made available for the Little Shop of Hairdos Professional(s) at said Services Location. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for Services to be performed properly.

To secure a date with Little Shop of Hairdos, a signed Contract is required with a 50% deposit for all services due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. The Remaining Balance is due one week prior to the wedding date. Please be advised, dates and scheduled hair and makeup times for both the Trial and Event Date Services will only be reserved when a signed Contract and Deposit are received.
