Halo's background in performing arts is dense with a range of experiences. Professionally trained from the age of 13 vocally and musically, she spent a better half of her career acting in local theatre, training at performing arts camps TAPS & 3T, and attending performing arts schools, Baldwin Magnet & Booker T. Washington Magnet High School. She was lead singer for three years in a live praise band in high school and she went on to study music at Troy University in Collegiate Singers and Gospel Choir under the direction of James Brown. She's featured in the groups, Lisa Perkins & the Elusion Band, Think All Be All, and 12Eleven.
