Hannah Christiansen, violin

For solo performances, expect a variety of music that will be tailored to fit your event. I have standard set lists for weddings and religious services that are available upon request; I am also happy to prepare specific pieces for events so long as there is adequate advance notice.

For substitute positions, I have an extensive background in chamber and orchestral performances and will provide repertoire lists of works I am comfortable performing with little to no notice upon request. Unless the work is commissioned or not a part of the standard repertoire, I will provide my own part.

I also perform regularly as a part of a two violin duo specializing in contemporary music and that group can also be booked through this service.

Hailed as "one of tomorrow's superstars" by the Manchester Music Festival, Hannah Christiansen holds a B.M from the Oberlin Conservatory having studied violin under Milan Vitek. While at Oberlin, she concurrently earned a B.A in French and History from Oberlin College as a participant in Oberlin’s double degree program. She has performed as principle second violin of the Oberlin Orchestra and as a section first violinist with that same ensemble and has appeared as a soloist and with chamber groups in masterclasses with such artists as Danwen Jiang, the Calder Quartet, the Jupiter Quartet, the Jasper Quartet, the Prima Trio, Almita Vamos, Stephen Rose, Charles Bernard, Honggang Li, and Misha Namirovsky. Additionally, she has studied chamber music with members of Trio Solisti and the Attacca Quartet. Ms. Christiansen will begin her Masters of Music under the tutelage of Gerardo Ribeiro at Northwestern University in 2015.
