Harley Sanders and The Flathead Band

I was paid a deposit by Leslie (Mother of the Bride), in early February.

A deposit to begin gathering a list of Music compiled by Leslie’s Daughter, Heather (Whom I communicated with from the beginning) for a wedding in June.

The deposit was actually only 1/4 of my total fee and when it was paid by Leslie all details had been given to Me by Heather, whom told me, “My Mom is Paying Your fee, all arrangements and Music selection, will, go through me.”

When discussing the initial details with Leslie’s Daughter Heather, who did not pay my deposit (Her Mom did) I told her, “ I have a pressing matter in New York and if I have to cancel I will give you at least two months notice. I told Heather, “The deposit is to cover any work I do on Compiling your list of over 100 Songs that I do NOT have in My Collection before the wedding and if She cancelled on me or I had to because of matters in New York then I would keep the deposit for said work. She agreed this would be acceptable.

I did, in fact, do everything we agreed too. And as I told Leslie’s Daughter I prepared all of the Music requested, and cancelled early as promised.

APPARENTLY, Heather did Not COMMUNICATE THE TERMS OF OUR AGREEMENT to her Mother, Leslie, whom has left me a bad review.

I even attempted to provide them with names of other DJ’s and within a few days of my having to cancel this gig, Leslie told me they didn’t need the Music or my references AS THEY ALREADY HAD ANOTHER DJ.

I will not deal with 2 people separately again! Lesson learned here, the right hand (Leslie) did not know what the left hand (Heather) was doing and had agreed to, for lack of communication on THEIR part.
