Earlier this year, I hired Aaron Brownwood on behalf of the Center for World Music to provide an engaging solo performance for school children as they were arriving to campus. Aaron set up his console steel guitar and performed a beautiful set of tunes while children ages 4-10 hovered around him listening, dancing, and asking questions about his music and instruments. Aaron embraced the chaos of dozens of children surrounding him completely. He was able to share not only his unique musical style and unusual instrument (to them), but his passion and joy for music-making. I have hired Aaron for many different types of events and he is always able to deliver exactly what I need. He is kind, has a great heart, and is always easy to communicate with. Plus, he's a top notch performer!

I am an easy going and passionate musician who is reliable, experienced, and friendly. I want to share my love of the steel guitar and live music at events where a relaxed and nostalgic tropical vibe is desired. The steel guitar is a unique instrument and will be sure to draw the attention of guests who will often ask about its history, or they may share some nostalgic songs that come to mind. My performances include fun island songs, slower ballads, and upbeat dance tunes played on the steel guitar with backing tracks. Sounds from the islands like waterfalls, bird calls, and waves splashing also compliment the backing tracks to create that magical island feeling. Because I am a solo performer, I can control the overall volume and I adjust the sound level to each event. If a more background/dinner music vibe is desired, the volume can easily be adjusted to compliment conversation.
