Heavy for the Hawk provided a great live performance at the Armatage neighborhood Summer Jam event! Lots of energy and a really fun show!! Additionally, they were very responsive to emails and questions when I was helping to plan this event which made coordination with the band so much easier.
Response from Heavy for the Hawk:
Thank you Stephanie! Look forward to doing another event with you sometime!!
This is a GREAT band, always delivering a great show. Many songs that you rarely hear from other bands is
played thru out the night and is extremely entertaining. Very rare for bands to have new and upbeat shows so it is always a treat for their return. Never disappointed!
Wow, these guys knocked our socks off!! The diversity of music is fantastic and the two vocalists are amazing. Can't wait to have them back in our area!!

You can expect a good time with Heavy for the Hawk! We thrive sharing music that we love with people and people always seem to love us. We cover a wide variety of genres that appeal to all walks of life. So you might not like or know every single song we do, but we can guarantee there will be some you love!
Hailing from Minneapolis, Heavy for the Hawk is a six-piece band with members originating from Pennsylvania, Maine and here in Minnesota.
Their collective musical interests run deep, and as such they bring a dynamic mix of music to their shows. You’ll hear anything from Indie Folk/Alt/Rock, Oldies, and Americana to moving renditions of Soul and R&B. Many of the band mates write their own music, so you’ll likely hear some originals as well.
Heavy for the Hawk is always looking to include songs that are laid to the wayside by mainstream radio. They love dusting off nostalgic favorites that you’ve maybe forgotten about, and also mixing in some music from today’s talented songwriters too, making it a show anyone can enjoy.
Featuring harmonies from their two vocalists (who happen to be a duo out in the real world too), they aim to bring the listener along with them as they move through songs.
Come to a show, and you just might discover some new music to soothe your soul!
We do offer a full PA, lights and even a fog machine. We charge more when we provide all of those items.
