I got voluntold to help plan a 4 half-day virtual celebration for our company’s 7th anniversary. One of my ideas was to have a Cher impersonator give a concert over Zoom, and I thought our CEO would never go for it. To my surprise, he actually entertained the idea, so I reached out to a couple impersonators, Heidi Thompson included. Heidi seemed to have the most impressive resume, and she mentioned that her husband, Gene Sironen, is an Elton John impersonator. We ended up getting a 45-minute virtual concert with both of them, and it was beyond fabulous.
“Elton” led off with crowd favorites “Crocodile Rock” and “Benny and the Jets”, and then “Cher” joined in toward the end of “The Bitch is Back”. (She thought it was her “cue”)
Heidi sang a few Cher songs, including “Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves”, as well as a duet of “I Got You, Babe” with our CEO wearing a mop-top wig a la Sonny Bono, and then she and Gene performed a duet of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”. They finished with a parody I wrote of Crocodile Rock that personalized it to our company, and the pair of them did a great job getting everyone to sing along during the chorus.
After the event, one of our employees (an unabashed Cher and Elton fan) said that Heidi sounded more like Cher than Cher did. Everyone had a blast. I highly recommend this gig!

I can't imagine a more perfect wedding. Heidi was so much fun and a joy to work with. We worked closely on all the details. My guests actually believed they were seeing the actual Cher. She doesn't lip sync. Speaks, looks like and sings just like the real Cher.

She will include comedy and audience participation if performing live. She puts a "Sonny wig" on an unsuspecting male's head and sings "I Got You Babe with him." Or, she will bring up female audience members to be back-up dancers on "Shoop Shoop." She also does shows with her husband as Elton John and/or Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers. Together, they do duets, comedy and a show-stopping hits.
