Henna by Tanvi

Every Hindu bride knows the first thing she will be asked when she first meets her family and friends: “Let me see your henna!” This rite for a bride is so important, which is why I am so fortunate that I chose Henna by Tanvi to do my mehndi for my big day.
I must admit, as someone marrying into a Hindu family but not being one myself, I was a bit nervous on what to expect. Tanvi was incredibly helpful and sweet, aiding me in the simple questions I had and being clear on how to best take care of my new artwork. She must have known I was nervous, because she went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and calm. When I was uncertain which design I wanted on my feet, she was quick to pull out previous designs of hers and let me pick my favorite.
The mehndi process is exhausting, but with Tanvi, it was well-worth the hassle. My henna came out beautifully. I was complimented by everyone who saw it. I was met with a chorus of ooh’s and aah’s wherever I went. Best of all, she was able to customize it to exactly how I wanted. I gave her the odd request of incorporating a wolf portrait and a video game character into the henna, two symbols that meant a lot to me and my marriage to my husband; she happily did it with such expertise! People were astounded and many of the guests took lots of photos.
However, it’s not just the bride she takes good care of. Tanvi and her team also created amazing henna for my family and friends. All of them said it was beautiful, even better than what they have received at other weddings. My Western friends were overjoyed by the results, having never had henna done before, and posted photos to all of their family and friends! Tanvi was also incredibly sweet when we ran over on time, staying later to finish up guests; the problem was that everyone loved the designs so much they wanted as much as they could get!
