Highland Bagpiper for All Occasions

John played at our son’s funeral and it truly made the experience so moving. We will forever be grateful for his beautiful performance and something we will talk about forever. I highly recommend booking him for any occasion. We planned everything in 48 hours and he was prompt, punctual, and incredibly responsive. He has a large repertoire of music to choose from.

John played for my father’s funeral which meant the world! He played at the church and at the reception. Very reasonably priced. Arrived early to the church! He is very prepared and organized. If I need a bagpiper again, I will for sure be giving him a call!

I recently had the pleasure of watching an incredible bagpipe player named John in action, and let me tell you, he was absolutely mind-blowing! From the moment he picked up the bagpipes, you could see the passion and dedication in his eyes. His fingers moved with such grace and precision, effortlessly navigating the chanter and creating the most enchanting melodies. The sound that emanated from those pipes was so powerful and soul-stirring, it gave me goosebumps. John's performance was a true testament to his exceptional talent and years of practice. He had complete control over the instrument, effortlessly transitioning between notes and infusing each one with raw emotion. The way he commanded the stage with his presence and the way the music resonated with the audience was truly magical. It was an experience I will never forget, and I highly recommend catching one of John's performances if you ever get the chance. He is a true master of the bagpipes!

Our piper was there early, was dressed properly and played great. I highly recommend him and will use him again should the need arise.

Excellent, very committed to providing a good experience

Chances are, if you are reading this, you are looking for a piper at an event of a certain degree of importance. A matter of triviality would not merit bringing the significance of bag pipes and a piper to bring the perfect effect to your event. I cannot recommend John to you highly enough. This was my first acquaintance with John, yet he took my requests, placed them into a program of his design, which perfectly accompanied the service for which he was piping. He drove hundreds of miles to accomplish this performance, located in central Oklahoma, as well. If given the opportunity, I will use his services again and quite honestly, I do not believe five stars is enough. I normally do not write reviews, but I read them. Feel free to take my review into consideration of John for the event for which you are seeking a piper. You won’t be disappointed.

I have hired John for several services now, and I am always amazed at how well he does! I love the fact that the families I serve give him great reviews and that he meets their needs with the songs they select. The fact that he has a set of smaller pipes that can be played indoors in smaller venues is also a boon. I have families I've served that were not going to a grave, or outdoors otherwise, and he could play pipes for them indoors. My families love this as well because during extreme heat or cold, they can still have a piper without having to be out in the elements for any extra time because he can play indoors (as well as out).

John always dresses the part in full kilted regalia. What I appreciate is he looks the part of a bagpiper without being ostentatious about it. He is willing to travel, including out of town, when we need him. It's nice to know John is up for the challenge of meeting us at a cemetery that isn't close to home.

Without a doubt, I would hire John for any event that I needed a bagpiper for. While I primarily hire him for funeral services, I would gladly hire him for weddings or other life celebrations. If you need a piper, you need to call John!

John did a fantastic job. He interacted with the people at the party, played, sang, and was a really big hit. I couldn’t be happier.

Mr. Bierens played for my father’s funeral—at the church and cemetery. He did a wonderful job. It sounded beautiful. He’s very kind and professional. He gave us a list of his songs to pick from and he did an amazing job. It’s was 100+ degrees at the cemetery but he played under a lone tree in the distance and it was special hearing him play at such a sad time. I strongly recommend him. You’ll be very satisfied.

It was a 90 degree day and the Reunion was in a banquet room where the air conditioning just couldn't keep up - most of the time it was in the 80s inside the place - awful! But John came in his beautiful Scottish attire and played for about 4 hours on and off - always positive and a fabulous attitude and looked fresh as a daisy! He was so professional and friendly and did a great job - playing everything at just the right time! We were all very impressed with his talent and his performance made the event a huge success!

I was browsing the site and low and behold I saw a great bagpiper that serves the Kansas Honor Flight here in Wichita, KS. Mr. John Bierens. Mr. Bierens is well known in this part of the country. When it comes time for the Kansas Honor Flight returning veterans to get their WELCOME HOME, the sound of the pipes played by Mr. Bierens is what most folks around here call the "SOUND OF FREEDOM". Mr. Bierens is a great master of the pipes but he also dresses for the occasion. It's a perfect mix of the sound of the pipes and the uniform he wears that makes the atmosphere so patriotic. Mr. Bierens leads the procession of 100+ Kansas veterans through what we call our Patriotic Gauntlet to their waiting families. Mr. Bierens is a great BAGPIPER!!
The Kansas Honor Flight has done 93 flights and I think Mr. Bierens was the first bagpiper we used and has been with him ever since. Can't go wrong when you use the best!
