Barb weaves her testimony through song and story. Whether you are looking for an evening concert or a retreat speaker, Barb uses her voice and, "Mercy - My Story, His Glory" to tell her story.

Between each song, Barb walks through her life story with humility, openness, and honesty and allows the Word of God to speak to those in attendance. Tears of understanding, sadness, hope and joy are often shed so bring Kleenex! :-)

Nashville recording artist, Barb Marchuk lives in Coaldale, AB, Canada with her husband Larry and is the mother of 4 and grandmother of 1.

Barb's personal story includes abuse, compromise, and heartache but ultimately ends in redemption, incredible mercy, and loving forgiveness. Untold for many years, Barb found healing as she began to share her story with others who found themselves in similar circumstances - both for herself and those who heard it. "Mercy - My Story, His Glory" was born as testimony to the grace and love that God offered Barb and offers to anyone else who will take it.

Barb began her professional music career in the country music genre and earned 7 European Country Music Award nominations including "Song of the Year" and "New Artist of the Year" with her debut country album, "Here I Am". She went on to record her second album, "Words" and then found herself facing a crossroads in her life. It seemed that it was the best of times and the worst of times as Barb discovered freedom in total surrender and rededicated her life to the Lord. God used this time to heal and bring her closer to Himself and Barb's focus moved toward singing exclusively for Him! Barb joined two other gals to form the trio, "Eliana" as they sang and brought the gospel message to audiences across Western Canada. But, as her children grew, she knew it was time to tell her personal story and the wondrous healing and freedom she found through Jesus Christ and "His Song Ministries" was born. Barb's story is as compelling as her vocal performance as God uses both to bring His gospel message across the world.

From Barb:
This ministry has been in the making for so long - my whole life, actually. But you see, it really has taken all of life's experiences to bring me to where I stand today. Had it not been for the lows I would not know what it feels like to rely entirely on the Lord's strength when my own failed me miserably. Had it not been for the highs I would not know how perfectly loved I am and how exceptional, holy and majestic God is. I began to see that God, in His mercy, allowed me to use the years I thought the locusts had eaten, to help others that could be helped best through the compassion and understanding of one who has walked the same weary road on which they find themselves traveling. That is why I have such a passion to share my stories and the redemption I found in Jesus Christ. It is why I have compassion for women who are battered, broken, inhibited, invisible, hopeless, and lost. I have been there in those same dark places. If I can help one precious child of God see their potential, purpose, or value that can be found through the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, it will be worth every tear, every heartache, every disappointment, and every obstacle that has had to be overcome. I know that the world is trying to sell us many alternatives that lead to dead ends, pain, and frustration and that we can easily buy into these lies... I did! But now, I want to use the rest of my life to pass on the message of hope that I have found in Jesus and share His love with anyone who will listen. Jesus is the only light that can outshine the dark places and He gives us all a new song to sing with forgiveness and love.

Most churches have their sound systems already in place and we are happy to use those. However, if a sound system is required, we can bring our own.
