We are so glad we hired Liz and "Brownie" to come to our home in Leesburg. Our grandson from CA, age 28 months, had requested a pony ride. Our communications before the day were excellent. The pony was very well behaved. Liz showed our grandson how to groom the pony and clean Brownie's feet. She treated him with respect and confidence expecting him to be a future horseperson. He was thrilled with every lovely minute of his pony ride around our property. I would highly recommend Hogback Mountain Pony Rides!

My husband surprised me by hiring Hogback Mountain Pony Rides to bring a very special guest, Clyde the Mini Horse, to our home as part of a professional photoshoot for my 28th birthday. My experience could not have been more perfect; Liz was so lovely to work with and Clyde (adorably dressed as a unicorn) was a fantastic photoshoot partner! We had a GREAT time
Celebrating my daughter’s 6th birthday party! We had invited her entire class- 25 kids! Yikes!- and Elizabeth and her sweet horse, Dutch, didn’t miss a beat and were loved by all the kiddos! Elizabeth was prompt and professional, and so so accommodating to make this a smooth, fun party. I’d most definitely recommend her for any event!!!

Wow! I am struggling to find the words to describe how magical this experience was. Clyde was probably one of the most gentle, calm, easy going unicorn’s I have ever encountered. Perfect activity for our 4yr olds birthday. Liz was also just as wonderful. The kids were able to groom/brush him, walk, and even sit and ride Clyde during the time he was visiting. It was truly a magical experience and I am sure there will be many more unicorn encounters ahead for this family and all the families that were a part of this special moment. I highly recommend this to any parent of kids looking to do something unique and memorable. It truly doesn’t get much better than that! Thank you thank you, Liz for helping to make the day so special. Those smiles are certainly one for the memory books.

We really enjoyed having a pony for my daughter’s 7th birthday. It was sweet and overall a memorable experience. The only reason why my review is four stars instead of five is because the pony was brown and white (not all-white as pictured) and the kids knew immediately that it was not a unicorn. Still fun, though!

Great experience for the kids, they definitely believe in unicorn magic! Good communication with the company and meet all our expectations. Clyde the unicorn was gentle, calm, patient, and beautiful! Would definitely recommend.

Elizabeth was so persistent and considerate about our virtual meet and greet for my kid's birthday. I was able to invite cousins who live half way around the world and she changed the date multiple times to accommodate time differences and icy weather here in DMV. We can't wait to visit her farm, and loved meeting Clyde!

We booked Hogback Mountain for our daughter’s 7th birthday party this past weekend. The brought 2 “unicorns” adorned with flowers and beautiful horns. They were so professional and kind, the girls loved them! They even helped me with my crazy request to stop in front of a backdrop and take a photo of each girl on their unicorn!

We did a Unicorn themed birthday party for my 7 year old daughter. We booked Unicorn Clyde as a surprise for my daughter and her friends. It was truly awesome to see everyone’s faces when they met Unicorn Clyde. Liz was amazing to work with, very responsive, reasonably priced and punctual. The kids were able to feed Clyde individually and take pictures. We originally had the party planned for outdoors but due to the weather, Liz was able to accommodate in our garage. Not the most ideal backdrop for taking pictures but it still turned out amazing. I would recommend Hogback Mountain Pony Rides to anyones who’s looking for a cool Unicorn meet and greet.

Elizabeth and Clyde provided an enchanting unicorn visit for my granddaughter’s birthday ! So if you child or grandchild loves unicorns- a visit from Clyde is a must!!

We had Clyde the Unicorn at our home for my daughter & 2 of her friends. It was so sweet. The girls loved him & we took a million pictures. He is the sweetest unicorn out there & we were so glad to have him here to celebrate our daughter's 5th birthday. Plus, Elizabeth is so awesome. She was easy to work with, super good with the social distancing right now. so glad we decided to do this.

Clyde the unicorn came out for my daughters 5th birthday. He was so well mannered and my daughter and her friends just loved him. Liz was easy to work with and brought all sorts of fun props for pictures. Highly recommend for any event to make great memories!

All my daughter asked for was a “real live unicorn” for her 5th birthday. Elizabeth absolutely went above and beyond and completely made my daughters day! She brought props and apples to feed the unicorn and even let my daughter help walk the unicorn back to the trailer. The interaction was a breeze from start to finish. This is one memory that will last a lifetime and I have no idea how I could ever top this! 10 out of 10 recommend - you won’t be disappointed!

My daughter who just turned 5 was bummed that she wouldn’t have her typical birthday party this year. We thought of ways to make it super special but couldn’t find anything. I needed a unicorn for my daughter's 5th birthday, Liz made it happen and with just about a weeks notice. She came to our home, was there early to set up, and didn't start to pack up until after our agreed upon time. Her unicorn, Clyde, was a beautiful white unicorn. I was concerned that the kids were going to want to ride him, but I think even if we had the option, sticking to just petting was the best choice! Pricing was reasonable, and it he looked just like a real unicorn. He even preferred chips and pirates booty, which the kids loved! Would definitely recommend (and already have) to others!

Hogback Mountain Pony Rides did and amazing job. The owner was social, prompt, and friendly. Everyone loved Little John It was perfect!

My granddaughter is visiting from out-of-town, and wanted to go on a pony ride, so I contacted Liz at Hogback Mountain Pony Rides, and she accommodated our request in short order. Liz took her time with my granddaughter (a 6 1/2 year old). and showed her the proper methods for caring for a pony, which she took part in -- grooming, brushing, caring for the hooves, and so on. Afterwards, Liz lead her on the pony for several trips around the property -- showing her the proper riding method, and using positive reinforcement, while also pointing out the other ponies (and miniature horses), and their names, that she owns. We're going back when my granddaughter returns to town.

Hogback Mountain Pony Rides was a great experience for my daughter’s 8th birthday party. She wanted a unicorn theme and all the little girls were delighted for a ride on a unicorn. The place was a great spot for a warm summer birthday party in the fresh air. Liz supplied a lot of helpful party items and was super through the whole experience. Highly recommend to pony-lovers!

Our daughter is obsessed with horses and wanted nothing else for her birthday then to have the opportunity to ride a pony. Liz was able to make our little girl's dream come true! Not only was Liz extremely timely and communicative during the inquiry and booking process, but on the day of the party as well. She was easy to work with and the booking/payment process was simple and effortless.
Little John was perfect for the 5-7 year olds that were there and beautifully decorated with flower wreaths. Liz came equipped with everything she needed including different size helmuts for the children and equipment to pick up Little John's droppings. She and Little John were patient with all of the personalities in attendance and really made the birthday girl feel special. This is an experience that our daughter will remember for a long time! We are grateful that Hogback Mountain could make it extra special. :)

I booked a unicorn party with Hogback Mountain Pony Rides for my daughter's 3rd birthday. Liz was great to work with! She very responsive and answered emails in a timely manner. Most importantly, she was super patient with the kids. Liz brought along a beautiful pony named Little John. He had flowers around his neck and a horn. The kids loved him! He was very pleasant while the kids painted him and was gentle while they rode him. I would definitely recommend Hogback Mountain Piny Rides and will be in touch for future events!

Yesterday we took my 3 year old grandson for the pony groom, ride and feed experience at Hog Mountain Pony Rides and had the most wonderful time with Liz and Happy the miniature horse. Liz is patient, kind and extremely well educated about horses. She has horses and ponies of all sizes for a great riding experience. We can’t wait to go back! My grandson was thrilled he got to ride a horse. Since he could speak he has been fascinated with horses and majority of his toys are horses. Hogback Mountain Pony Rides provided pony led rides for over 100 children for our school fair. They were fantastic and the ponies were the sweetest creatures you could ever meet. We had excellent communication throughout the scheduling and quote process. Liz and her team were right on time and their set up was quick. All of the kids enjoyed the rides and asked when they could have the ponies again. We look forward to working with Hogback Mountain Pony Rides again soon~

Hogback Mountain Pony Rides was a birthday dream come true for my 11 year old!!! She absolutely loved the paint the pony experience and then riding the ponies around Hogback Mountain! The ponies were super friendly and beautiful-two have blue eyes! All of the guests enjoyed the experience too! We were allowed to arrive early for our party to set up and Liz and her helpers were wonderful to work with! We had so much fun the following day we decided to do Unicorn Photos in the Magical Forest and had the most fun photo session of our lives! Instead of a boxed room with standard backgrounds and poses, my kids had an amazing outdoor photo experience they will never forget-riding on a unicorn and having fun! I got pictures of storybook magic that will be cherished for years to come! Totally recommend this business and we will return for more fun on the farm!

We had a magical Unicorn themed Pony party for our 3-year old thanks to Liz and her pony Happy. Happy was calm and worked so well with the children. Even those who were a little bit hesitant at first were encouraged to ride when they saw how well it went. Happy was perfect size for the kids 3-5 years old. Liz was willing and able to travel with her trailer to our place which made it possible to have this dream come true birthday parties. She had also made Happy look like a real unicorn, which was awesome. I highly recommend this unforgettable chance to celebrate.

I loved working with Liz and Happy to create an enchanted forest birthday for my daughter. Even though we currently live out of town, she was able to work with me. She was flexible and professional through the many challenges a party can entail (weather challenges, pony challenges, etc), and we are thrilled with the results. Not only was the day unforgettable for my daughter, but for everyone who attended. Thank you for making our event magical! We hope to work with you again!

Mrs Liz was easy to deal with and the kids were the happiest I have seen. Everybody had a good time.
The only downside was that I hired a white unicorn and in the end he got sick and we had to go with the brown one.
The kids were equally happy. Happy was a gorgeous and friendly pony

We took our two girls, ages 7 and 4, for a riding lesson at Hogback Mountain. They had a wonderful time! It was clear to me that Liz not only loves animals and horses but also has a passion for teaching. She truly understands kids and enjoys working with them. My girls learned so much. We will certainly be going back sometime soon! I felt her rates were very reasonable as well.

Elizabeth brought little Happy to our 2yeat olds birthday party last weekend despite a snow storm the day before. The kids loved the little pony and Elizabeth is so easy to work with. My husband says it was the best $ he has spent! Such great photos and memories for our daughter!

We used Hogback Mountain for our daughters 3rd birthday party. We had the best experience! Liz and Chris brought their pony Little John for the kids. They were on time, set up quickly and was ready to take on a handful of toddlers ready to ride Little John. They were great with all the children. Very patient, as well as friendly with everyone that were there. When it was time for them to leave, they cleaned up after themselves and you couldn’t tell there was even a horse there. You won’t be disappointed when you use them for a party!

We hired Hogback to give pony rides for my daughter's 4th birthday party. They came on time, set up a coral in the yard and brought helmets for everyone. They even went above and beyond by dressing the ponies in unicorn halters since it was a unicorn themed party. Elizabeth was super nice and the children loved being able to hang out with the ponies, not just ride them. The pricing was very reasonable. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a little extra entertainment!

My daughter had a riding lesson with Ms. Liz and we held her 4th birthday 'Pony Party' at Hogback Mountain Pony Rides. Liz is a natural with kids, she's easy to talk to and my daughter felt very comfortable with her lesson. The birthday party went off without a hitch, and everything was adorable...from the country palate board tables to the pony painting station. It's a great birthday party idea because everyone wants to come spend time with sweet ponies! We are very happy we found Liz.

Elizabeth is great! She takes good care of her animals. She has worked hard to build a good business. She is very involved in "giving back" by running events that support other small businesses and a local horse rescue!
