About
Hot Club of Spokane launched in 2007 in Spokane, Washington as a jazz manouche (or gypsy jazz) ensemble. Since that time we've added Andrews Sisters style three-part harmony, plus pedal steel. As a 7pc band, we feature two guitars, bass, fiddle, sax, and steel, plus 4 vocalists. We've played for corporate events, weddings, fundraisers, birthday parties, concerts, dances, and more.
Our sound is basically acoustic, but we've played in giant auditoriums as well as big backyards. We can play elegant events or smoky jazz clubs or anything in between.
We'd love to perform for your event!
Additional Booking Notes
We do have a small PA system, mics, stands, and limited lighting for small events. If you're hiring us to play a concert for a festival or large venue, you'll likely need to rent additional equipment. Let's talk more on the phone or in person about your vision so that we're all clear about technical needs ahead of time.

Influences & Inspiration
Django Reinhardt and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France are our primary influence.
However, we're also influenced by the Boswell Sisters, a 3-part harmony act from New Orleans in the late 1920s/early 1930s. We often say the Andrews Sisters because they are more famous, but we generally pull arrangements and ideas more often from the Boswell Sisters.
Many of our bandmembers have a background in bluegrass and that sneaks in now and then.
We've also added pedal steel recently, so some of our songs are seasoned with western swing influences like Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.
Other favorites from the pre-war jazz era include Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Mildred Bailey, and more.
Setup Requirements
It's helpful to have 4-5 armless chairs, and a barstool.
