I have hired Chris on several occasions. He has played at three weddings and several backyard functions. Each time he has provided exactly what we wanted. His sets are always on point with the audience and mood of the function. I have also seen him in many restaurants and pubs over the years.
I will most definitely hire him again

I first heard and met Chris Houston when he played at a small wedding I hosted at my home. The live music was spectacular and added an intimate feel to the wedding. Fast forward, my daughter got engaged. As we were planning her wedding, a friend told me that Chris had a house up near Jackson, NH. Immediately, I contacted Chris to see if he would be interested in playing at my daughter's wedding ceremony and cocktail hour.
Chris did play at my daughter's wedding on August 24, 2024 in Jackson, NH, he was incredible. He played instrumental guitar during the ceremony which gave it a beautiful personal touch! Chris also performed during the cocktail hour and exceeded all of our expectations! We have received so many compliments on how great he was, and that all of the guests enjoyed hearing him play live.
He took the time to teach himself the song that my daughter wanted to walk down the aisle to, which sounded amazing!!
Chris was extremely responsive during the planning process giving great feedback and setting realistic expectations that made him a pleasure to work with! I would absolutely recommend him for all your wedding or event music needs! You will not be disappointed.
If you're looking for a musician who can elevate your wedding or special event to the next level, look no further than Chris. He made our celebration unforgettable. Highly recommend!
Acoustic Band
First and foremost, they sounded great. They played a tastefully cool selection of songs from all eras. Everyone heard a song that they liked. They learned the songs that were requested. They are professional musicians that have resources and equipment for any event. Speak to them about your needs and you will get realistic honest response. The venue was the Gould Barn in Topsfield, with 90 guests there wasn’t much room for a band. They took a look at what they had for space and rocked the house!

About
Pete Wise has been playing drums since his grandfather taught him how to play a double stroke roll on a pillow when he was 9. Pursuing music growing up became a passionate hobby. Appreciating a wide variety of musical genres enabled him to meet and jam with cool, inspiring individual and groups. Adding congas in his 20's and cajon in his 50's, as alternates to playing the drum kit, opened up interesting opportunities like playing with the Almond Brothers Band tribute The Peacheaters. Currently Pete is really enjoying his duo with Chris Houston and his quartet Boogie Chilln' in Worcester Ma.
