Offering yet another dimension, Hugo blends musical influences from his country of birth, the Portuguese Island of Madeira, his formative years in South Africa, and frequent sojourns to Brazil and South America to establish himself as a progressive, colorful and vibrant World artist.

His live credentials include private performances for celebrities and entertainment industry clientele, including private events for Michael Jackson and family, Natalie Cole, Herbie Hancock, and others. Hugo had an impressive long-standing residency at the Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge and performs regularly at numerous 5-Star venues such as The Pelican Hill Resort, The Beverly Wilshire, The Four Seasons, The Bel-Air Hotel, as well as private and public international engagements in Brazil, the UK, Portugal, Jamaica, South Africa and all over the U.S.

Hugo's debut album for CBS Records earned him two nominations for Best Male Vocalist and Best Album at the South African National Music Awards. He regularly appeared on television, highlighted by a one-hour special on his life and music. Hugo has recorded four additional CDs on his own independent label "Hugomigo Music," including an ambitious collection of original world beat songs and an album of Christmas favorites. His music has been featured in television movies and commercials, and a national Billboard song contest awarded him a Certificate of Achievement for one of his original songs. Hugo was also presented with honorable achievement awards for two other songs in the International UniSong Competition.

I provide all the sound equipment and instruments I use in my performances. All I require is one electric outlet and shade from the sun or rain.
