Hwy 41 South is a high energy, entertaining bluegass band based in Florida. This band has been performing for 12 years, and has performed all over the southeastern United States. Featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar and upright bass. Every member of the band is also a vocalist, and the harmony singing has to be heard to be appreciated. This band can change direction on a dime. Whether the audience is responding to traditional or progressive bluegrass sounds, comedy, or classic country sound, this band can do what is needed to keep the audience actively enjoying the show.
Wow. Where can I begin? Let’s see… I put out an ad (with very short notice)that I was searching for a Bluegrass band for my father’s celebration of life. Very shortly after Mark reached out to me, he was extremely responsive on text and it helped the process go exponentially faster and smoother. The band arrived early to our location, set up, asked questions for our preferences and played the MOST beautiful music the entire time. Every single band member we was professional, enthusiastic and a true master at their craft. That’s my professional review.
Now for a bit of a personal review. In the ad I posted I mentioned my dad was an avid bluegrass fan and picker. Mark asked me his name and I sent over a picture and sure enough he had met and knew my dad. I don’t even know how to describe the specialness of this occurrence. Hwy41 put on an extra special incredible show honoring my father that my family will truly remember forever.
