My kind of audiences are usually for church ceremonies and weddings. I also play in brass ensembles and orchestras.
Abner Marquez is a trumpet player who started to play at age 8 in “El Sistema.” In his early years as a trumpet, he studied at the Simon Bolivar Music Conservatory and "Escuela Latinoamericana de la Trumpet" where he took lessons with Ricardo Osorio, Luis Melo, Alexander Barrios, etc. In his teenage years, he performed as first trumpet with different orchestras such as Regional Orchestra “Evencio Castellanos” and Symphony for Peru Youth Orchestra. During his time at the youth orchestra, she performed in different theaters such as Teatro Nacional de Lima and other parts. He has attended many music festivals during the summer where she enjoys playing chamber music. Today he is part of the New England Youth Ensemble and he also plays at Carnigie Hall with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. He’s currently pursuing a career in Music Performance at Washington Adventist University where he takes trumpet lessons with Chris Gekker.
