Ian did an amazing job! He showed up early, performed beautifully and made the process so easy!! He performed at my dad’s celebration of life, and in a time when a lot is going on and felt overwhelming to plan things, Ian made everything so easy and seamless when it came to his part that day. I so appreciated that he arrived earlier and everyone absolutely LOVED the special touch of having him there. He played while people arrived and then we opened up with a song and so many people who were there had wonderful things to say and even teared up during it. If you are looking for someone to play the bagpipes for an event, look no further! You found your guy!

Ian was an absolutely amazing addition to our wedding. He was easy to work with, reliable, on time, and professional. The process of booking was seamless from start to finish. Ian played outside the church before our guests arrived and again as everyone left. So many guests commented on how talented Ian was and how incredible he sounded. We hired Ian for our wedding and would recommend him over and over again. My dad is a piper from Scotland and had difficult requests, all of which Ian fulfilled wonderfully! He made our day so special. All of the guests, about 50% of which were from Scotland and Ireland, were extremely impressed with Ian’s talent. In addition to his talent, Ian is very prompt with responding and very accommodating. If you’re considering booking Ian, do it! You will not regret it!

Needed a piper for a famjly funeral and, despite short notice, Ian took the job, exceeding every expectation. He looked immaculate, and his piping was extraordinary. The renditions he performed of Highland Cathedral, Amazing Grace, and Flowers of the Forest were breathtaking. His rates were more than fair and reasonable, particularly given the professionalism of his communication, comportment, and musicianship. Can't recommend him highly enough!

My residents and staff loved his bag piping!! He was Amazing!!! At the end he even answered questions from the residents about himself and his bag pipe. He was so good to them. We would love to have him back next year!!

We were finally able to have a celebration of life for my mom who passed during the pandemic. It was held in a public garden where a pergola was named in my mom’s honor. Ian came at the exact right moment to pipe our group to the estate house where a special dinner was held to remember my mom. Ian communicated with me as I was planning the event and was happy to travel quite a distance because he just loves playing the bagpipes. The song he played was perfect too. I would definitely use him again.

Very good and understanding

Ian is incredibly talented and did an outstanding performance! It was a Mothers Day gift for my 86 year old Mom and she was in tears. I think everyone at the party was in tears actually! He played songs that took her back to her childhood and it was so moving. He is a very nice, eloquent young man as well and his kilt and garb are beautiful! I absolutely recommend Ian 100%. You will not be disapointed!

Ian agreed to play for my brother's 40th birthday -- a very casual afternoon party with family and a few close friends. Everyone came spilling out of the house when he began to play, and we all enjoyed our private concert immensely. He even ended with "Happy Birthday!" It was also a lot of fun for the kids. Mr. Underwood arrived on time in full regalia. He was a big hit with the crowds at the front of our Bicentennial Days parade. He also stayed after the parade and entertained the crowds for a time with his playing. We were very pleased with his professionalism and friendly nature.

I had planned to have the memorial for my husband on the nature trail beside the Still River where he loved to walk.But would a piper be willing to walk that far? Ian said "no problem". When I arrived in CT and walked the trail for the first time in 12 years, I realized how steep and uneven it was. Ian said "I love a challenge". When heavy rain flooded the trail, we ended up under a gazebo on the school playground. Ian was unfazed. Not a very magical place, but when Ian was heard coming aound the corner, it suddenly was.

Ian did a fabulous job, punctual, flexible, piped as we walked to a field to scatter ashes and during the ceremony as we did the actual scattering. Chose perfect music, was an incredible addition to the gathering and overall event.

Ian traveled 3 hours to make the services / mass and burial of our Mother. He sent us songs to choose to listen to him play and allowed us to pick among those and many others. He graciously help lay our mother to rest with wonderful background music we had hoped to complete our ceremony . Wonderful person easy to work with and communication was always open and clear from the moment he offered his services. 5 stars !!!! Truly amazing we had never met before the day of my mother’s services . Wonderful reliable human being

We had Ian come as a Fathers day surprise for my husband. It was wonderful! My husband was very touched. It made his day! Ian is a very friendly person and talented piper. My neighborhood loved him, too. We are finding out today that the beautiful music was heard throughout our community and it sounded so beautiful to them!

Ian was an amazing piper and helped us celebrate a few very important events all in one occasion. He paid close attention to my directions as it was important for him to be a surprise to my family and friends.
