Vick was amazing! We had a group of 10 or so adults for a 40th birthday and he made the dinner party so special. He set the perfect ambiance and feel where everyone was comfortable, laughing and truly entertained. It’s clear he loves his craft and engaging with people on a personal level, and does so while doing some great magic! Thanks again for a great night!!

Vick was so amazing! My husband and I hired him to perform at our wedding, and we, as well as our guests, could not have been more pleased. He really involved the audience and made sure everyone had a great time. The show was definitely my favorite part of the wedding (next to marrying my husband, of course).
Vick is so personable and professional. If you're on the fence about hiring him for any reason, please, take the chance; you won't regret it. He even moved all of his equipment inside at the last minute when we realized things were just not going to work well under the tent outside.

We had Illusions by Vick at my 30th Birthday Bash in June. He was amazing from the start, taking intense interest in our theme and portraying our "Court Illusionist" as authentically as possible. He even created his performance around the theme and characters we had at the party! He communicated promptly and was extremely easy to work with. He would be great for both kid and adult parties. Highly recommend him!

Had Vick perform for my daughter's 6th birthday. She is pretty shy, so we made it a small group of kids and adults. Everyone has a great time - both kids and parents! Hired Vick for an adult birthday party. He arrived and setup prior to the start of the event. Even though the venue area was not the best (noisy and small) he was very flexible and accommodating. Not only is a consummate professional at his craft, he’s very engaging and personable. He was such a hit a couple of guests thinking about their own future events asked for his business card. I hired Vick to be the entertainment at a 50th birthday party. He was so easy to work with. He was incredibly detailed in our emails back-and-forth. He asked questions about the guest of honor and whether the guests would be interested in being part of the show (I says yes, and he did a fantastic job of incorporating lots of guests in the show). He let me know what kind of space he needed. This way when he arrived, everything was set. He was so gracious and flexible. Our timeline had run behind about 30 minutes which meant he couldn’t begin as we had planned and Vick went with the flow. The show was fantastic! All of our guests raved about the performance. We couldn’t have asked for better entertainment. Thank you, Vick!

We booked Vick for our daughter's 9th birthday as she loves magic. We had about 20 kids ranging from 5-10 years old. Vick was the highlight of the party - with all the kids fully enraptured for the entire performance, many instances of loud gasps or "NO WAY" from the kids, and most of the kids (and even some adults) had opportunities to participate in the show. The adults too broke from their conversations and came and watched the show. Afterward, many parents told me how much they and their children enjoyed the performance and asked where we found Vick. Vick even entertained/interacted with many of the children after the show while putting his equipment away, which was great as it allowed us to say goodbye to our guests. 5 stars! Highly Recommended!

He did tricks for all ages. It was magical and unbelievable. We still can't figure out some of them, well a few were mesmerizing and some were just from out of the blue! You'll enjoy his tricks. I believe he does props for Halloween places, such as Cots Farm (Centreville, VA), which is the creepiest time of the year. Be aware, you'll be tricked before your eyes! LOL. We enjoyed every bit, as I hired him to entertain us at my home for a 60th party. I've posted a few pics here.

I hired Illusions by Vick for my husband's 50th Birthday Party and he was amazing! My husband loves magic and has seen quite a few magicians. He said Vick was the best live magic show he has ever seen. From the minute Vick walked in our door we knew he was the real deal, great outfit, style and personality. The show itself was a lot of fun and interactive. It wasn't your run of the mill tricks. We received many compliments from our guests as well.
Leading up to the party Vick was easy to work with, answered emails quickly, asked questions, always polite and helpful. Parlor Magic- Dynamic entertainment in a sophisticated atmosphere. Parlor Magic features amazing magic in an intimate setting. Original illusions, "classics" of magic, feats of mentalism in an interactive presentation filled with audience participation and a good time for all. Parlor magic is great for Adult events such as Adult Birthdays, all age birthdays, holiday events including Halloween and December Holiday Parties, intimate gatherings and events where a unique, entertaining presence is desired. Recommended for audiences of 5 to 250 guests.
For adults a bottle of wine (or similar shaped bottle) can be magically produced and gifted to an audience member.
Mobile Station Performance - Innovative alternative to strolling (or walk around) magic that encourages guests to enjoy magic at their leisure while adding to the elegance, intrigue and festivity of your event. Recommended for large parties where the event is taking place in various areas simultaneously or venues where there will be more than one performance or act performing simultaneously. Stage (or Platform) Magic - Similar to Parlor Magic, usually on a stage or raised platform and of a slightly broader performance scope (Can include Houdini's Metamorphosis, Strait Jacket Escape and other large illusions). Stage Magic can be incorporated into many venues and is recommended for large parties, events and banquets.
Mentalism - Entertainment, amazement and enlightenment. Mentalism isn't about "mind reading" as the mind is not a book to be opened and read, instead the mind has varying shades of perception, thoughts, feelings, emotions and many attributes that are not fully understood. Characters available include Professor Snape from the Harry Potter stories.
Am well versed in the J.K. Rowling "Harry Potter" stories and weave a illusion show based around the character of Professor Snape including "testing" the students of Hogwarts. (Gryffindors somehow seem to get over on Snape). A solo illusion show is included and a final session including teaching students of Hogwarts.
Illusions By Vick performed at the last 5 Harry Potter Movie Premiers, at various book releases including performing for over 650 attendees as Professor Snape at the Howard County "Muggle Madness" night for the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". Illusions by Vick opened for the Symphony Orchestra of Arlington at their Music of Harry Potter Concert performing theme magic as Professor Snape and many Harry Potter festivals across the US.
Other characters include Edgar Allen Poe, a conjurer circa 1900, The Mad Hatter, Venetian Masquerade character, Captain Hook, Willie Wonka, wizard, pirate and con man.

Additional Booking Notes
Illusions by Vick is a self contained show and we provide all our own equipment including PA system and backdrop. The stage show does not have to be performed from a traditional stage and can be performed just about anywhere, all that is requested is a 6 foot square area to set up in, perform from and access to electricity. If you would like the full Illusion Show which includes performing Houdini's Metamorphosis a stage of at least 12 feet x 16 feet is required.
