Improv Shmimprov! For ten years, Improv Shmimprov has been the premiere group for improv comedy in Southern California. Shmimprov plays improv games (like you've seen on 'Who's Line is it Anyway?') and turns up the rock 'n' roll. Using the audience to provide suggestions, sound-effects, and move the actors like mannequins, Shmimprov will create a show you won't forget! From late-night college shows to clean corporate or private events, Shmimprov creates a special show for each audience. It was an absolute pleasure to have Improv Shmimprov perform on our campus, Concordia University Irvine. The entire team was punctual, professional and put on an excellent show. They were willing to work with us as to include our giveaways and make sure that our program was still exactly how we planned it. They were flexible and kept excellent communication. As for their performance, it was excellent, one to be remembered and laughed about by the campus community for years to come. We would gladly hire them again for our campus functions.
It was the first year that we had an Improv Group at our holiday luncheon and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. Their interaction with the audience was well polished as was their comedy sketches. Most groups rely on "blue" material and that is not what Improv Shmimprov is about. They can judge their audience and know how to adapt to what is needed. I would hire them again it heartbeat.

You can expect from Shmimprov a show you'll never forget! Custom made to your audience, we take out all the stops in the name of comedy. Fast and furious (Tokyo Drift), we turn up the juice on Improv Comedy, making everything up based on suggestions we get from the audience. You might expect to tell us a bit about yourself, and then have your life story acted out on stage. Or maybe we'll ask for a foley artist to provide sound effects, or maybe even a brave volunteer to offer up their cell phone for us to use their texts as dialogue. (We're not sayin, we're just saying)

We are not picky!! We simply require travel funds (and if it's a significantly far trip accommodations) of some kind.
We have our own body mics and handheld mic. We will need an amp or sound system to plug in to (if the space's size warrants amplification).
We also use song bytes to close our games with, so a plug in for laptop sound a technician to run it would be boss.
