I didn't hear the violinist. Guests didn't even know I had a violinist at the wedding, which made me sad. I wish the violinist was more of a focal point during cocktail hour. They put her far away in a corner. She didn't have anything that projects the sound of the violin and I wish she wore something nicer to a wedding. She wore all black. She looked like she could have easily been a waiter. When we spoke, she didn't understand some basic wedding terms like Bridal Party. I was trying to explain that the bridesmaid and groomsmen were walking in together and it was a bit confusing. I asked for a sample of the song I requested for the wedding and apparently that's not a thing. Instead, she referred me to her youtube videos.

Irene is an incredible performer with a vast repertoire. She played for a small, intimate gathering for my Mom's 90th birthday, and made it a truly magical experience. She had great communication ahead of time to plan and prepare. She played so beautifully, and added so much emotional warmth to the gathering. She connected with everyone and was able to play some pieces in the moment - as if she had played them before. I so enjoyed meeting her and think she is both an incredible musician and an incredible person. So glad we got to meet her and work with her.
