Didn't play a Single Song right.

I knew during my ceremony that the trio messed up when I had to look at them and nod at them for them to start playing even though I had sent Irina the cue of when they should start playing the last song. They then started playing a Thousand years for the recessional instead of the song that I requested but I thought to myself: "If that is the only thing that went wrong then I am okay."

With that information in mind, I probably would have rated the trio that performed at my wedding four stars until I got my wedding footage back.

The trio did not play a single song at my wedding correctly. I sent Irina a list of the three songs I wanted played: One song for the main bridal party, a different song for me, and a last song for the recessional.
Irina assured me that this wouldn't be a problem and that I can even have more songs if I liked. I just kept the three. My wedding coordinator informed the trio of when to start playing and when to change the song (When the barn doors opened). I don't know what the first song they were playing was, but it wasn't the song I requested. I couldn’t hear it at the time because I was inside.
After they opened the barn doors for me to walk out, they were not playing a Thousand years, it really sounded like they were improvising. At the time I was so nervous, I couldn't even really pay attention to what song they were playing (it was very quiet too). Now, looking back at the footage I am upset. I didn’t pay $950 plus $150 tip to not have a single song played at my ceremony right.

I had a really simple plan that I outlined for Irina which I will attach. Maye it all went wrong because Irina wasn’t there? Two weeks before my wedding she texts me asking if I can move the ceremony forward an hour because she has an orchestra rehearsal. I booked her well in advance and she knew the location beforehand so I’m not sure why she would have scheduled a rehearsal the day of my wedding. Her question was extremely worrying to me two weeks before my wedding. She assured me that someone else would be in her place and that everyone was a “professional” so I ignored it and would have still ignored the stress her question gave me if the trio actually played the songs I asked.

I had also asked Irina nicely if it was possible for me to hear the songs that would be played before the wedding. She told me it was not possible as all of the musicians were too busy and to just trust them because they were professionals. I was nice and acquiesced but seeing the video, I realized that it was a mistake.

I would also like to add that the musicians just threw their cases at their feet around them and it looked pretty unprofessional. I would have ignored that too but I am very disappointed about what I heard in the video footage.

Irina played a beautiful violin version of Liebesfreud (Love's Joy) at my daughter's wedding.
She is timely, easy to work with, very talented, and very professional.
I highly recommend her for any wedding or group event.
She was one of the highlights of the wedding ceremony.

We had a 75th birthday party for my aunt. it was small and intimate (20 people). Irina was on time and setup her violin in the corner. She played for 2 hours. Her soft violin playing was perfect. Not too loud. Just right. The music brought life to the party, not to mention the complements from the guests. Her demeanor and esthetics were as classy as her music. It was perfect.
