Long story short, I met Ishmael at a local restaurant where he was playing during winter of 2015-2016 and the other couple I was with and my wife all were like "WOW, this guy is really good!". During break, I asked if he did private events and he said of course. The deal was done at that point as I knew I had to have him for my special house party to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Let me say he was the hit of the party (which was nicely catered) and he had everyone on the deck dancing by the end of the event. Ishmael has been in the Entertainment Industry for over two decades. In the music industry he is most known for his co-written contribution in a Grammy Nominated ALBUM "THE RAIN". The song for which co- wrote on this album is called “love Will Find A Way”. He is also credited for his keyboard playing contribution on two classic Freestyle Hits “Latin Love” and “Red Hot” by the group Trilogy. Ishmael has also contributed keyboard production for various artist over the years.
Ishmael was born in NYC, and grew up in Chelsea Manhattan. He has a remarkable voice and a playing style that goes with it.
To date he is currently performing in various clubs, and venues using Mixed Cover Repertoire of hit songs from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
His blend of Soft Rock, Pop, and R&B makes it a great memory lane walk for most.
He doesn’t perform with a band most of the time, but to hear and see his production setup, sure feels like the band is present.
My past influences have been Earth,Wind and Fire. Motown, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Blood sweat And Tears. Pretty much a wide spectrum of music.
