J. Watts

Lyrics and subject matter vary, just like hip-hop. Some songs are more boastful and party jams, while some are meant to be heard for the message. I tend to perform at least 2 up-tempo songs and mix in a slower tempo song. I also have many covers to boost crowd participation. Most performances would include only myself as all current music does not have a feature. In the future, I'm hoping to add background visuals such as dancers or a small band.

All music performed will limit (if not completely remove) any profanity.

Born and raised in Franklin, TN, I started making music at 5 years old with a toy candy phone and had my first performance as lead guitar for my mom in the living room. I continued to hone my singing skills in the privacy of the bathroom, eventually realizing I should just join the band in 6th grade. I continued with concert and marching band all the way through high school.

I graduated from MTSU in 2012 with a Bachelors degree in Audio Production. Since then, I've continued to work in various studios and artists. In 2016, I began J.Watts Recording.

I've always loved music. It has this power to control you and you don't even realize it. If there is anything I can give to the world, it's the same feeling I get when I hear something for the first time and the 100th time. I figure that's the least I can do.

I have no requirements except a good mic and speakers.
