Professionalism, clear and prompt communication, and much more! There are many talented professionals that can bring great music to your event, but I strive to bring more to the table when needed. Everything from consultation on the event itself, or even assisting in finding other vendors that have been vetted and can bring an added value to my involvement, I would love to help! You'll always get great entertainment from me, but I'd like to make your event an overall success in anyway I can!

Jacob Merlin met his first love at the age of four, the piano. Classically trained until the age of 17, he grew up learning hallmark works from all the greats, while diving into jazz standards and even his own original compositions. By the age of 40, JM has performed for hundreds of audiences, competed in dozens of competitions, and created a brand of his own funk/soul, horn-inspired music that toured the West Coast. While his career in original music flourished, Jacob freelanced as an accompanist for instrumentalists and vocalists, background lounge and hotel pianist, wedding pianist, worship leader and pianist, and has been a keyboardist for hire for acts seen on American Idol and many other noteworthy television shows, movies, and mainstream musical groups. Today, JM works as a studio musician and songwriter, and continues to bring professionalism and joy to any event where his talents are needed. If you have need for anything from classical to jazz background music, or a full band to light up your event, Jacob Merlin has the pedigree and talent to exceed expectations.

I have my own full PA system and instrumentation, and no other equipment is normally needed. For larger events, especially outdoors, you may consider larger PA rentals, and I would be happy to assist and get this taken care of for you!
