Jake Williams

My sets are performed instrumentally on acoustic guitar and typically include a mix of originals and covers from a variety of genres/decades (see profile for examples of covers I can perform, though the list is not exhaustive). I can work with you on the original vs. covers balance, and am happy to perform sets that are all cover songs if desired. Either way, my shows are a nice mix of upbeat and mellower songs that are never too loud or brash. Other clients have enjoyed having me at their events because instrumental music is family friendly, comforting, and works well either in the background or as a central focus. I perform everything live and do not use pre-recorded or backing tracks. At times I do use a looper to embellish songs and add additional layers. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Jake Williams is a Phoenix-based instrumental guitarist and songwriter, performing original compositions and cover songs that are dynamic and range from lively to introspective. Whether on acoustic or electric guitar, Jake's music features modern guitar techniques such as alternate tunings, tapping, percussive elements and live looping. Jake has performed at renowned venues such as the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Stone Pony in Asbury Park, and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Though originally from New Jersey, Jake has lived and performed all over the country. For over two decades he has performed, written and recorded music with various genres of bands, singers, and songwriters. Jake is often called upon to embellish live performances and studio tracks with his unique approach to guitar, bass, lap steel, mandolin, and ukulele. As a sync and stock music writer as well, Jake has also had his music featured in a Lifetime film and various commercials.
