A versatile singer & guitarist who puts his own island style twist on contemporary pop and reggae classics who can sound like a 3 piece band by himself.

JAMES EEDAY, front man of the Southern California bands URBYN FYRE, COMING OF SAGE & EEDAY is warmly familiar & radio friendly while staying true to roots & street style. He is able to switch from a captivating melodic singing voice to a Jamaican rhythmical style called 'toasting'.  He has a Bob Marley vibe with influences from Steely Dan to Stevie Wonder. 
a CA native & skilled keyboardist & guitarist heralding from Dick Grove's School of Music, JAMES has performed in many highly regarded rooms from The Roxbury to the Beverly Hills Hotel & The Coach House to name a few. He has performed w/such artists as Ziggy Marley, Sugar Ray, Steel Pulse, Pato Bantan and Eek-A-Mouse & was honored to play for Sheryl Crow & producer Bill Bottrell at his estate in Glendale, CA. JAMES is able to connect with his audience in a spiritual way, with his Marley-style idiom conveyed in original songs such as RISE UP (featured in the Disney movie ‘The Jennie Project’). He is one of the few artists who has been able to successfully combine a melodic vocal style with dance hall reggae to create a hook & sound all his own. He also recently began performing as a solo singer/songwriter to rave reviews & has received airplay on KROQs Native Wayne Show, KSBR & KCRW as well as had his music placed in films such as Breaking the Rules, Nuns On The Run, Jamaica Beat, In Too Deep, Sandcastle & The Larry Sanders Show.  He was also recently granted an interview and rotation for his newly released album WHY SWEAT ME on (link hidden) & won the 11th Annual USA Songwriting Competition for his original song COME MY WAY in the world music category.  He co wrote and performed the single MOVE YA FEET with producer Frank Fitzpatrick featured in the 2007 Disney Movie JUMP IN starring Corbin Bleu from High School Musical.  With friend and guitarist Rodney Sheppard (SUGAR RAY) JAMES also formed the band ‘EEDAY’ whose debut performance was featured on EXTRA TV hosted by Mark McGrath in 2008.  In 2010 JAMES’ original song ‘Om Namo’ is featured on Volume 1 of the CD entitled ‘Yoga Revolution’ with co-artists Sting, Sarah Mclachlan, Sheryl Crow, Seal, Peter Gabriel & Ziggy Marley.  In 2011 JAMES recorded & sang a song called ‘Express Your Self’ with Ziggy Marley for the soundtrack for a movie called ‘Beat The World’ (from the producers of ‘Stomp the Yard’) which was released in 2011.

Can provide his own P.A. system for corporate or private events of up to 500 people.
