"The presentation was excellent- a mix of group activities and an inspiring talk on confronting change and taking a leap of faith. I enjoyed the activities because they focused on self development in a fun and iinteractive way. I particularly liked the activity " what is your Sign" because it encouraged us to see and present ourselves in a positive light. The other activities helped us to see change as a reality of life that we cannot predict, but can confront individually or as a team. They also helped us reflect on how we communicate with each other. The talk titled "Jump" was inspiring and very relevant to the audience. It provided lots of food for thought, and I felt it was over too soon..."

My mother always stated you never know who you will run into in the community. It went from a simple hello to James and we began talking about life. I told James about my mentoring organization for young girls name J.U.N.E. In return James told me about him being a motivational speaker we set up a workshop date for James to speak to the young ladies. James spoke with the young ladies of J.U.N.E. about self worth along with self love and finding their own identity. My young ladies asked so many questions along with leaving the workshop with a better understanding about themselves, and a better understanding about life.

James I thank you for all that you have done for not only the young ladies of J.U.N.E. but for the adults that attended the workshop.

Hmmm Is Thank You Even Enough?

James planned this motivational speech and workshop that staff and directors enjoyed. It was definetly inspiring. It was 2 hours of entairtainment

James is an energetic and knowledgeable speaker and facilitator. In the summer of 2011, he created professional development sessions to help orient a group of new teachers. He used a variety of online, print, and multimedia resources to provide a detailed orientation. Further, he met with our new teachers and tailored individualized supports. His sessions made our summer much more successful. He is great!

I participated in professional development sessions James hosted for 20 teaching interns.  He created several engaging session on topics that helped our novice teachers succeed during the summer.  James has a wealth of knowledge.  He facilitated interesting and engaging sessions.  Moveover, James was able to answer questions and point our interns to valuable print and online resources.  

I was a participant in a workshop Mr. Guilford led for OCAA. I think I can speak for all participants when I say I was really inspired by Mr. Guilford. His activities and by his positive attitude taught me a lot. He gave me tools that will help me both as a parent and as a person working with youth.

My staff and I learned a lot from Mr. Guilford's workshop.  He facilitated a session for our trainers and for our parent group.  His workshops contained a lot of original activities that got us up and moving.  The activities also helped us think about how we can better serve our young participants.  The feedback Mr. Guilford provided greatly improved our program.

After a couple of brief conversations with Mr. Guilford, I followed my instinct and decided to take the risk of booking someone I had never met or heard for a keynote and breakout sessions. My instinct was dead on...Mr. Guilford is quite the gentleman - genuine, intellectual, fun loving, and professional. Quite the natural talent for drawing out his participants...a great speaker and listener! I wish he worked in my Upward Bound program!!

As a part of a series of workshops, Mr. Guilford spoke to our group. He did more than just "talk at us." Mr. Guilford led us through activities and small group discussion. In our early morning session, he motivated even the most reluctant (and sleepy) participants. I walked away with valuable information I can apply to my work with underserved youth.
