Jason Scholder - Midlife Comic

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Jason for an event, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, he demonstrated exceptional professionalism and great communication. He took the time to guide me through the intricacies of show business and comedy, spending over an hour on the phone answering my questions. He made me laugh multiple times on the phone as well, so that was definitely a good sign that he was the right guy for our upcoming event!

During the event, he not only delivered a hilarious performance but also stayed afterwards and shared valuable insights and creative ideas for growing our business. I’m genuinely impressed and would wholeheartedly recommend him. Without a doubt, ill be hiring him again for future events!

He came prepared and gave a hell of a show. We would for sure enjoy to have him back.

If I could rate 100 stars, I certainly would!! Jason was the ‘surprise entertainment’ at our rehearsal dinner/welcome party (120 guests) for our son’s destination wedding🥳
He spent an hour in a phone interview with the couple prior to the event under the guise of a journalist writing an article about weddings. Thus he developed his act totally specific to Chase and Bailey and fun/funny events in their relationship.
Guests ranged from the flower girl to the grandmother and his humor was appropriate for all. He cleverly deflected a heckler with ease…WHY is there always THAT embarrassing relative? 😡
To our great disappointment, we failed to video until about halfway through his show…so when you hire Jason, be sure to video from the top!
Our guests loved him and were delighted with the surprise element 🥰
Truly a highlight of our fabulous wedding festivities, Jason delivered FAR more than we expected and I recommend him without reservation!

Words cannot describe the amount of laughter that Jason brought to our event. I was skeptical at first setting up this type event after our sit down dinner, but Jason was very hands on and communicated with me before the performance on what type comedy was best for our group. He listened and the event was above and beyond everyone's expectations. It was an absolutely awesome performance and the next morning, that was all the group could talk about. Those that had missed the show, then wished they had been there and those that were there wanted an encore performance. Jason was the featured entertainment at our 2018 Halloween costume party we hosted for 58 of our friends and neighbors near Black Mountain, NC. He was very funny and well received by the guests. Jason was very professional and brought his own lights and sound which made it very easy for us. He came early to set up so we did not have to worry about getting him situated. We loved that he was based locally and can recommend him as a funny standup comic without reservation. His moniker “midlife comic” went well with our mostly 50+ year old guests, but his performance would be a hit with younger audiences too!
