Hello,
My name is Jonny Mantra. (my friends call me Java) I am a guitarist, vocalist, DJ, comedian, and tarot reader originally from NYC and I would love to perform for you either solo or with one of my talented duos or groups to provide whatever entertainment you may need. I play any and all styles (jazz, rock, classical, acoustic singer songwriter, blues, r&b, etc) and have a huge cover repertoire as well as many originals. I studied at the Berklee College of Music and at La Guardia Performing Arts in NYC. I've played all over the world in many venues, festivals and cruise ships too and I am currently a guitarist in the US Army Band. I can also read tarot or perform musical comedy too. :)
Java is a fantastic musician and was very easy to work with. A true professional!
Response from Java Mantra:
Thanks so much! It was a total pleasure.
We booked Java for our daughters baby shower.
Amazing vocals, super professional and courteous, before the event he reached out to ask if there was a dress code, he is clearly well prepared. I would highly recommend him and will be booking him again soon! Thank you Java! :)
Response from Java Mantra:
Thank you so much, Laura. It was an absolute pleasure to perform for the baby shower. You were all so accommodating and wonderful to work with. Hope to see you again soon!
Johnny and his wife exceeded expectations! They were so professional, and so talented-they looked great, arrived early for my kids double wedding, and were clearly prepared, performing a set that was everything I asked for. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!
Response from Java Mantra:
Samia and I had such an amazing time performing for you. Thank you so much for the warm words and great vibe at the event. Great choice of musical requests too! We love your style and taste :).
The Jonny experience was magical and healing. His voice is beautiful as well as his spirit. His energy is infectious and he brings light with him wherever he goes.
Price Range: $100 - $1000 depending on event.
Gig Length: 60 - 300 minutes
I can do many different performance setups and variations from event to event. This includes pure acoustic guitar shows, background music, use of tracks, live looping with beat-boxing, hand percussion, bass, synth, guitar, and vocals, bringing in small jazz groups, or large bands with horns. I'm very well connected in the performance industry and have many musicians on call. I also DJ professionally with my own equipment, read tarot, and can perform comedy music upon request.
