Raquel and her Jazz, Bossa nova, and Latin Band for Weddings and Event

Raquel and her band were phenomenal! I received so many compliments on the band during and after our corporate event. If you want a band to make you look great at your next corporate event, I highly recommend Raquel - they were prompt, communicative, very friendly and outstanding musicians!

Raquel was a hit with San Ramon Rotary members when she entertained the club with her Brazilian jazz performance. It was an enthusiastic response from a group of professionals who appreciated her wonderful voice and music interpretation. She was just GREAT. I would recommend for virtually any occasion.

OMG, Raquel and her band are incredible!!! I can't state this enough. I have been a musician since a little kid and am a big Jazz enthusiast. They sounded so good, so balanced, so tight, and Raquel's voice is freaking awesome! The videos on her website don't show how good they really are. Our venue had horrible acoustics but they still sounded awesome! It's been 4 weeks since our wedding and people are still coming up to us and talking about how good the band was. It was like having a real show as part of our reception. As a jazz fan I can tell you I don't know why she isn't big time. They played "Dance Me to the End of Love" and it was the best I have ever heard anyone cover that song (apart from Leonard Cohen of course)..simply amazing. I could go on and on about the music, but I also want to add how professional they were. The whole transaction was simple and easy with no hassles whatsoever. She even wrote a song for us...how awesome is that? They are easily worth double what they are charging. It just simply doesn't get much better...honestly. With that band and her amazing voice, they really really should be big time!! I have seen many live bands, and have been to Yoshi's more times than I can remember and these guys are among the best of the best that I've seen. Thank you guys so much..you made our celebration so memorable!!!!!!

Raquel and her band were terrific!! From day one Raquel was patient and willing to work with our company. Our guests were talking about how much they enjoyed the band for weeks following our event. I would highly recommend Raquel they were professional and followed through with everything they promised. We will seek Raquel and her band for future events!!!

Raquel and her band were amazing at our Holiday party held at the Marriott in San Mateo last Friday. She was such a delight to work with and the music was loved by all the guests. Definitely would love to have her back again for future events.

Everything that everyone has said about Raquel was absolutely 100% correct. When I read all the reviews about Raquel the same thing was being said, she is classy, elegant and so professional. The band followed suit as well! What a pleasure it was to deal with Raquel and her band, their sound was beautifully soothing! I received compliments on the band all night long. I strongly recommend Raquel and her jazz band for your next event, you will NOT be disappointed.

While searching for a band for our wedding, we went to hear Raquel play and immediately loved her classy & elegant sound. We knew she would bring exactly the energy we were looking for to our reception so we booked her on the spot. She was a joy to work with. She was very flexible and offered several instrument/band options to meet our budget. She also worked with us to ensure that the song selection was to our liking, although that was easy since we love her sound.

On the big day Raquel and the band were perfect professionals, played great music that had the dance floor full, and didn't sweat that we were a bit behind schedule in the program. I would recommend Raquel to anyone looking for classic big band and latin jazz!

Raquel and her trio provided the music for our outdoor wedding reception and dancing. She worked patiently with me to determine the best timeframe for the band to play and to accommodate our budget. They provided great music and energy for the night, and I got lots of compliments on the band – Raquel has a beautiful voice. They found a nice slow number for our first dance – I got the impression they could play for anyone from two-left-feet to dedicated salseros. I would highly recommend them for any event.

My husband and I hired Raquel and her band to play for a dinner party after our wedding reception in October. My husband was raised in Brazil and I knew that it would be a special treat to have bossa nova (and other latin jazz) for him and his family incorporated into the evening. One of our guests was personal friends with Jobim so we wanted someone that our guests would really appreicate. We hadn't seen Raquel perform live and so were simply going off of her referrals and a few video clips we found online.

I must say that I am so grateful that we hired Raquel. She and her band raised the caliber of our celebration and most of our guests thanked us afterward for the "gift" of her music for the evening. Our friend that had known Jobim (composer of "the girl from impanema") told Raquel that he loved her music and that Jobim himself would have appreciated her performance of his music.

We were not sure if our guests would dance much that night but Raquel's music lifts you out of your seat and you just can't help yourself! She played exactly the music that we requested, was a complete professional and delight to work with. We highly recommend Raquel and suspect she raises the caliber at every event she performs.
