Overview
Jazz Breeze is the perfect choice to enhance your special event, be it a wedding, corporate function or other kind of private party. We provide an elegant backdrop to suit any function. We're flexible with our band size--be it solo pianist, guitar and sax duo or a piano, bass, drums trio. Instrumentation is flexible and varied, with clients often choosing a combination of either piano, bass, sax, guitar or drums. For vocals-based bands, we offer our premiere groups, The Marlene Jazz Ensemble and The Brazilian Project.
Our musicians are highly regarded professionals in the industry, most of whom are leaders of their own bands, each with more than 15 years of performing experience.

We hired Marlene to play during my daughter’s wedding cocktail hour and can’t imagine a better choice. She knew just what was needed to set the joyful tone. Wished she could have played all nite; the hour passed so quickly. Many guest complements. I can’t praise her enough!!! Great energy!!

Held a private event for about 50 people in the penthouse of the Residences Providence on a WaterFire night. Food and wine and Brian playing the sax - soft jazz. The attendees and I loved it. Brian was terrific - talented, personable, on-time. Will definitely use him again.

Our corporate event required music during the cocktail hour and having live music from Jazz Breeze truly classed up the event. Letting the Saxophonist and Bassist know that it was a Semi-Formal event with a central park theme, they made sure to dress the part, but were flexible to wear any type of attire that may fit the event.
The music was smooth, not overwhelming so people could still converse, and classic entertainment.
I would definitely use them again for future events and would recommend them to others who would like to class up their event!

Want to add a unforgettable dimension to an event? Jazz Breeze will be my goto for future events. They added a layer of ambience that I couldn't have thought of in our own Home!! Mind you it was a party for 10 people. Jazz Breeze usually plays much larger venues but they brought their magic to our home, very cool.
Marlene From Jazz Breeze was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was immediately responsive and helped us cater a very special birthday party with covid restrictions. She plays an amazing Jazz piano and she had an accompanying Jazz saxophonist Ed. The request was for classic Jazz and they delivered. Marlene has a passion for Jazz and it comes through. An attendee from Newport RI Jazz scene was very impressed(the whole family are marinated in Jazz, his brother is a full time Jazz Radio DJ).

-The played for a small intimate crowd

-Were very punctual, polite and respectful at all times

I cannot speak highly enough about Marlene.. she was professional, prompt, and so so much fun! We hosted a four hour open house/holiday reception and she was lively the entire time. A wonderful performer!

Marlene and her ensemble provided the perfect background music for our event. The group was very willing and able to accommodate our various set up needs. Our event focus was a speaker, so there was no dancing, but if there had been a dance floor, everyone would have been dancing.

What to Expect
When you book Jazz Breeze, we will send you a contract to confirm all details. In addition to venue, date and time, we may also have to confirm attire, equipment on premises (artists have their own, but sometimes the venue has a piano on site), meal and parking inclusions (if any) and venue contact person. We will also coordinate logistical issues with you or your designated contact prior to the event. All balances are to be paid on the day of the event prior to the performance, as will be stipulated in our contract.

Our instrumentation is flexible and varied, with our clients often choosing a combination of either piano, bass, sax, guitar or drums.
Interested in vocals? Our premiere group, The Marlene Jazz Ensemble performs a mix of vocals and instrumental jazz, Brazilian and some r&b and contemporary tunes to provide a stylish and elegant ambiance to your events. Vocalist/pianist Marlene is available from solo to larger ensemble settings. Performances include the 2022 Boston Food and Wine festival jazz brunches, New Year’s eve events at the exclusive Chatham Bars Inn and other top venues in New England.
Our musicians are highly regarded professionals in the industry, most of whom are leaders of their own bands, each with more than 15 years of performing experience.
We will bring to life jazz standards and tunes from the American song book--classics from Miles Davis, Cole Porter and Gershwin, and Brazilian standards from Jobim and Sergio Mendes, which you and your guests will enjoy. And although jazz is our thing, our musicians are also available for classical performances for weddings, playing favorites like Pachelbel's Canon in D or Air in G Strings.
