Jeff Hedberg & C11 is a 12-piece, Chicago-based jazz ensemble, founded and lead by jazz vocalist/trumpeter and Blujazz Recording Artist, Jeff Hedberg. The group, formed in April 2008, is dedicated to preserving and performing the West Coast "Cool" Jazz sound of the 1950's and 1960's.
The group was formed to present, perform, and preserve the music of legendary West Coast arranger, Marty Paich. The band's repertoire focuses on Paich's arrangements that were penned for both Mel Torme and Art Pepper featuring the "Dek-tette."
The band's complete repertoire can be viewed at (link hidden). The book highlights such standards as "Lulu's Back in Town," "On the Street Where You Live,"Cheek to Cheek," and bebop standards like "Walkin'," "Donna Lee," and "Bernie's Tune."
