Thank you so much for having me! The audience was so responsive, they sang along, the requested their favorite songs, we all had a wonderful time.
Jennifer was the pianist at my husband’s memorial service recently and she a consummate professional. She was able to accommodate my desire to also have a cellist, and had knowledge of all the music and hymns that were chosen for the service. She made a tough day a little bit easier and I would emphatically recommend her to anyone.

Jennifer and Julian were terrific. I appreciated Jennifer's communication both before and at the time of the event as well as her willingness and ability to honor our special requests. The event was a birthday celebration for my mother's 100th and everyone had a wonderful time. Jennifer has a beautiful voice and Julian is a great pianist.
Thank you so much.

What to Expect
Typically my performances are with my band, or singing with backing tracks, or piano solo, or singing at the piano, just depends on what you need. You let me know what you want, and I do what I can to make it happen. Have many options for attire, I’ve done subdued all black for a funeral, to a sassy cocktail dress, to a formal gown for a glamorous party, to a themed spider costume for a Halloween show, and everything in between. As a performer, I have an ease on stage, and interact with my audience as appropriate, with a charm and sense of humor. I love what I do and it shows in my performances. Just can't help myself, usually have the biggest smile when I'm singing, this is a dream come true to be working as a professional musician. I provide clear communication prior to and during the event, and am organized as possible with clear expectations with a problem-solving attitude. If an emergency were to come up and we were not able to perform for some reason, I already have a list of subs who can jump in. My goal is to make everything as easy and streamlined for you!
About
Music has been my love my whole life, starting as a kid with piano, joining school and church choirs throughout middle and high school, and continuing on with a Minor in Piano Performance in college. But always figured it would just be a strong hobby, and got my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and pursued my software engineering career for the next 10 years. But music wasn’t letting me go that easily, I started playing piano on weekends for churches again, and sang with several community choirs, it was still my passion, there was just nothing else like it when I was performing on stage. But in 2012 came a major life change when I was diagnosed with a very rare form of adult-onset muscular dystrophy that was slowly taking my walking ability and much of my strength. But I wasn’t about to let that stop me, when I was no longer able to work my original full-time career anymore, I took a step back to regroup, and then started my own music business and stepped into the professional world with my music skills. What I found was a place for those music skills I had built over a lifetime, a professional community of musicians who embraced me with open arms, and followers and supporters eager for me to share my passion of singing and playing the piano. This new career has continued to grow and am now in demand as a pianist and singer, I’m an accompanist for multiple local schools and theaters as well as the Orlando Ballet, have played in the orchestra pits at Dr. Phillips Performing Arts and Annie Russell Theatre, and pianist with the CFCArts Symphony Orchestra. I sing with my own jazz trio, and perform for all kinds of corporate and private events. Yes, I’ve been dealt some challenges, but I meet it with a creative outlook and a strong spirit. I now get around in a power wheelchair and have a mobility and task trained service dog and a modified wheelchair van. And I’m currently creating an inspirational cabaret to share my story and celebrate with music. I am thrilled to be actually doing what I had always dreamed of, and hope to get to share it with you!
Additional Booking Notes
I am equipped to provide a sound system for anything from a smaller intimate setting up to a room capacity of around 250 guests. And have crew who handle all setup, breakdown, and run sound during the performance. We can also use an existing sound system at a venue. I don’t currently have lighting or staging equipment but I can always contract that out.
Accessibility: If you've seen my promo photos, you've seen my seating arrangement and transportation, my power wheelchair! I have limited walking and standing ability, so I stay seated most of the time when I perform, either transferring to the piano bench or barstool, or sometimes stay seated in my wheelchair to perform. I have a strong stage assistant with me to mange all mobility logistics, drive a modified wheelchair van, and have a service dog to help me with mobility and various tasks, we make it work! We have portable ramps as well, you'd be surprised what locations we can get into. When we can't get my wheelchair on to a stage, my assistant is able to help me get to a seat on stage.

Influences & Inspiration
As a singer, my biggest influence is the Great American Songbook and music theatre. And also love inspirational, gospel, and pop. I just always felt especially connected to the standards of the 1930s and 40s, I just love how that music has stood the test of time, and I'm able to put my own style into the music. Music theatre holds a special place in my heart as well, I often perform as pit pianist for local theater and school productions, and love to sing that style. As someone from Orlando, FL, as you might imagine, I love all things from that magical theme park right down the road, I put my jazz spin on many classic tunes, as well as fun arrangements for solo piano. I have been playing and singing for church since I was 14, sang with many praise teams and choirs, as well as Director of Music for a couple churches, so can put together gospel or praise and worship sets that fit your setting. Looking ahead, I’m also working on my solo cabaret, putting together a show I can book all over Florida.
