Overview
Classic rock, pop, funk, soul, R&B, easy listening, jazz, blues, folk…I play anything from Elvis to the Beatles to Otis Redding to Stevie Wonder, John Denver, Barry Manilow, KC and the sunshine band, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Muddy Waters, Peter Paul & Mary, Amy Winehouse, Sade and more. Wanna rock out or boogie on down? I’m your guy. Want some nice peaceful background music? I’m also your guy.
I’ve done hundreds of senior facility performances over the years, so that’s kind of my specialty, but I’m also available for performances at restaurants, wineries, parties and special occasions/events, and I’m budget-friendly.
No classical, no showtunes.

We asked Jeremy to accompany our band last minute- he did his best in record time to learn the chords and music for quite a few original songs. The crowd enjoyed him too!

Response from Jeremy Crandall:
Thanks, Maureen. It was very nice to get to play with Libba, Ryan and Will, especially in such a beautiful setting as MacRostie Winery. I just wish that, in addition to everything else that was top-notch, I had put on a five-star performance, but unfortunately in this case your four-star rating is accurate, and maybe even generous. Granted, there were a LOT of songs (51) on the setlist, and I was unfamiliar with about 2/3 of them before getting hired about a week before the gig, so it was a bit of a daunting task, but after some days of practice I felt like I had a enough of a handle on the previously-unfamiliar songs to do a good job at the show. Unfortunately I didn’t perform up to my standards. On the golden oldies like “L-O-V-E”, “Fly Me to the Moon”, “Dancing Queen” and other songs for which I had the actual sheet music, I think I did fine, but for the rest of the songs, where I only had the chords, there were too many times when I somehow got lost, and despite my best efforts couldn’t quite find my way back, which is really unfortunate because everyone else seemed to be at the top of their game, especially Libba on vocals…her voice sounded beautiful!
Thank you for hiring me for the gig, best of luck to you, Libba and the band, and I’m sorry that I didn’t put on a five-star performance.😕
Jeremy saved the day last minute by stopping by with a 5 hour heads up and playing for our gathering. He was kind, fun and tried to adapt to the crowd!

Response from Jeremy Crandall:
Thanks, Phil, and thank you for hiring me. Your event was super fun, especially when one of the guests came up and sang with me on “Piece Of My Heart” and “Me And Bobby McGee”. He sounded like a cross between Janis Joplin and Axl Rose…awesome! Thank you for working with me regarding the musical selections and being amenable to different genres.
I was lucky when I found Jeremy Crandall to play the keyboard at a celebration of life for a family friend. I was asked, along with another singer, to do a few songs. His rate was more than reasonable, and he turned out to be fantastic to work with. He really impressed me with the amount of time he spent in advance and the excellent communication he facilitated between me, the other singer, and the mother of the deceased. He has a broad repertoire and can play background music, as well as work with singers. He is a very professional and kind gentleman. I highly recommend Jeremy:)

Response from Jeremy Crandall:
Thanks for the nice review, Kerstin. You yourself were super helpful and very pleasant to deal with regarding the musical preparation for the event, and,
In addition to the songs I performed solo, it was an honor to accompany you and your singer friend on keyboard on several songs (you did an awesome job on “Both Sides Now” and “Tupelo Honey”). Thanks for making me part of the very nice celebration of life for your family friend.
I hired Jeremy to play piano at my grandpa's memorial service and he did a wonderful job. He played a selection of songs from the 50s and 60s as people took their seats, and then later during the service he accompanied me as I played a couple of old folk songs on guitar. Jeremy and I were in close contact in the time leading up to the service, and he was gracious enough to accommodate all my requests. The service was a poignant and memorable one, and Jeremy played a big part in making it so special. I know my grandpa would have approved, and I'm sure he was tapping his foot and humming along. I highly recommend Jeremy for any occasion.

Thank you very much, Armida. I had a great time performing at your very festive Christmas Eve party, and I look forward to performing for you and your guests again. Thanks for choosing me for your party, and have a happy new year!
Jeremy was a great communicator from the getgo! I had sent a song list and he went out of his way to record a demo so we could hear him playing those songs. He came to rehearsals fully prepared and was great to play with on stage! Very on the ball, reliable and a wonderful person.

Thank you very much, Melissa. It was my pleasure to entertain you and your guests at the cocktail reception and dinner. Thanks for being so accessible and communicative in the lead-up to the event and for helping everything to go really smoothly.
Jeremy was so communicative throughout the entire process. He played some amazing songs at my wedding ceremony on 08/05 and I highly recommend. He was kind, patient and knowledgeable and provided really good feedback to the song selection I chose. Jeremy, thank you for making my wedding ceremony so special, I appreciate you!!
Jeremy was an excellent keyboardist and was very accommodating; even driving over 2 hours just for the event on very short notice. We had planned an 8-song set list for a surprise proposal, but our keyboardist became unavailable less than a week before the day. Jeremy came to the rescue, communicating extremely well and knocking every song out of the park on the day of. Jeremy is great! You should hire him!

Thanks for the nice review, Louie. It was really fun playing with you guys. You were very helpful, and you are very talented musicians yourselves. Best of luck to the newly-engaged couple, Max and Paige.
Jeremy was really easy to work with and took initiative to make sure we had a fabulous experience. He went above and beyond and learned requested pieces very quickly.

Response from Jeremy Crandall:
Thank, Giselle. I’m glad everything worked out and came together at the last minute… I think I saw your ad on the Thursday morning, and I was playing at your wedding that Saturday afternoon! Thanks for being so helpful and communicative. It turned out to be a very nice ceremony in a very idyllic setting in the woods at a regional park. Thanks again for hiring me, and best of luck in the future to you and River.

What to Expect
I’m versatile. Depending on the audience and venue, I can go in different musical directions. I can play nice, peaceful background music if that’s what’s called for, or I can get down or rock out, if that’s what’s called for. I can do solo performances, or I can fill in temporarily with a band at a particular show.
About
I grew up in the 70s and 80s with a mother who nurtured my interest in playing the piano. There were often great tunes emanating from her record player and stereo, including the Bee Gees, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Fleetwood Mac, Barry Manilow, KC & The Sunshine Band, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Sergio Mendes, Lou Rawls… Great stuff that stands the test of time 40-50 years later.
Additional Booking Notes
My rate may go up slightly if there’s no piano on-site and I’m required to bring my own keyboard and equipment.
