At eight years old, Jermaine embarked on his musical journey, finding his rhythm as a drummer with local gospel music groups in the vibrant backdrop of the New Orleans Metropolitan area. His early passion for music led him to the esteemed tutelage of Professor Edward “Kidd” Jordan at The Jazz & Heritage School of Music, where the foundations of music theory and jazz ignited his artistic vision. By the age of twelve, he was recognized as a prodigious talent, earning the distinction of being the first hand-picked student of the school.

Jermaine's musical prowess blossomed further when he gained early admission into the prestigious New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) at the age of fourteen. Under the mentorship of Clyde Kerr, Jr., he delved deeper into jazz studies while simultaneously honing his skills on the bass guitar. His dedication and talent soon caught the attention of the jazz elite, and by seventeen, he found himself sharing stages with luminaries such as Wynton Marsalis and Joe Henderson, establishing himself as a formidable force in the jazz scene.

After graduating from NOCCA in 1996, Jermaine pursued higher education under the guidance of Professor Ellis Marsalis at the University of New Orleans, further refining his craft and expanding his musical horizons. With an insatiable thirst for creativity and expression, Jermaine's career soared, encompassing over two hundred recorded songs, performances in twenty countries, and tours across four continents.

The tumultuous aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 forced Jermaine to relocate to Houston, Texas, where he swiftly reestablished himself as a leading musician in the local scene. His talent and dedication were quickly recognized, leading to his appointment as Musical Director at St. Johns Downtown in December 2005. Over the years, Jermaine's leadership and vision propelled him to new heights, culminating in his role as Creative Director, overseeing both musical and AVL aspects of the church's operations.

In 2019, Jermaine co-founded TheRoux, a powerhouse trio of esteemed artists and super-producers, poised to revolutionize the music production landscape of the southern United States. Amidst his collaborative ventures, Jermaine remains committed to his solo endeavors, with his highly anticipated debut EP slated for release later this year. Additionally, his expertise in music production and AVL technologies has positioned him as a sought-after consultant for churches seeking to innovate and elevate their musical and technological capabilities.
