One performer with one guitar. Effects pedals are frequently used, resulting in the ability to sound like multiple performers (i.e. pedals that create vocal harmony, guitar effects, and ability to loop and playback percussive and bass sections, etc), for the price of one performer. Mix of cover and original songs unless otherwise specified. Cover songs range from 1950's to today's top 40 and a little bit of everything in between, with a slight focus on "classic" songs from the 60's and 70's.

"China Plates" is Jess' first release since her debut EP "Shine a Light On" in 2013. The single rose to the spotlight when it was entered in the Yellen Foundation Songwriting Contest of 2014, sponsored by the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. When it took first place, "China Plates" was produced and recorded in GCR studios of Buffalo. The final track features members of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame accompanying Jess' vulnerable vocal and guitar performance. Since this accomplishment, this folk ballad has continued to gain attention and accolades, most notably winning the the folk category at the 2015 Smoky Mountain Songwriter's Festival Songwriting contest, as well as landing Jess a spot in the semi-finals of the Songwriter's Serenade 2015 contest in Morovia TX. The single is rooted in the storytelling lyrics, speaking to those who don't value "keeping up with the Jonses", stating that there must be more to life than owning the nicest china plates.
