What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Customers should be aware that my photography pricing typically includes a base package covering essential services like hours of coverage and digital image delivery. Additional services such as engagement sessions or custom albums may have separate fees. Travel fees apply for events outside my local area, and overtime charges may occur if the event exceeds the agreed-upon coverage hours. Discounts may be available for off-season or weekday event, as well as referrals from previous clients. I offer flexibility for package customization to match individual preferences and budgets. It's important to review the payment schedule, which includes an initial deposit and final payment details, as well as the cancellation policy outlined in the contract, to ensure transparency in our pricing structure.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new customer in my photography business begins with an initial consultation where we discuss their vision and requirements. We review my portfolio to ensure it aligns with their style and customize a photography package tailored to their needs. Once we're both satisfied, we sign a clear contract outlining all terms, and we collaborate closely before the event to plan the schedule and shot list. On the event day, I arrive early to capture every special moment, from getting ready to the reception. Afterward, I meticulously edit the photos and deliver the final images either digitally or in print within the agreed timeline. I always seek feedback to ensure their satisfaction and continually improve my services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a photographer, I have received formal training in photography techniques, composition, and post-processing. Additionally, I continually update my skills and knowledge through workshops and courses focused on photography trends and technology. This ongoing education ensures that I can provide high-quality and up-to-date services to my clients.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a passion for photography, and it was during my own wedding that I realized the significance of capturing those precious moments. That experience inspired me to delve into photography professionally. I started by assisting experienced photographers, honing my skills, and eventually launched my own photography business. It's been an incredible journey capturing love stories ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of customers in my photography business. This includes couples from various cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, and orientations. I've photographed intimate elopements, traditional weddings, destination weddings, and everything in between. Some clients prefer a classic and formal approach, while others seek a more candid and artistic style. I've also had the opportunity to work with couples of all ages and backgrounds, capturing their unique love stories and moments of joy. Every client is special, and I'm dedicated to tailoring my services to meet their specific needs and desires.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of my recent projects that I'm particularly fond of was a beautiful outdoor wedding at a scenic vineyard. The entire project took about 10 hours, from capturing the getting-ready moments to the final dance at the reception. It was a joy to document the love and happiness of the couple throughout their special day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Before reaching out to professionals for your photography project, it's crucial to consider key questions. Start by defining your budget and preferred photography style. Determine the hours of coverage needed and confirm your event date's availability. Think about specific shots or moments you want to capture and inform the photographer about your venue and any special requirements. Set a preferred delivery timeline and do thorough research by reviewing portfolios and reading client reviews. Lastly, ensure you feel comfortable and have good chemistry with the photographer, as they will play a significant role in documenting your special day.
