Jim was the perfect entertainment for our intimate house party for a 75th birthday. In the planning stage, he was flexible, helpful and communicative, willing to hear out my vision for his role at our party as well as offering suggestions from his years of experience. At the party, Jim was congenial and ready for anything throughout, putting me at great ease. He played an awesome variety of songs for our crowd of mostly 60-70s year olds, sometimes as background, sometimes singing. I prepared a specific sing-along set leading up to "happy birthday" and he nailed it! He was great at reading the energy in the room and injecting spontaneous banter and humor between songs. The guest loved it and commented how wonderful he was as they were leaving. Thanks again, Jim!

Jim is a true professional and I wouldn't hesitate hiring him again. We hired Jim to play our house party of about 30 folks. Prior to the gig, there was excellent and frequent communication. Jim arrived early, set up and got the party going. Not only is he an excellent, experienced musician, but he is also an outstanding entertainer. I've been playing professionally for almost 40 years and I'd like to bring that experience to YOUR event.
After majoring in classical piano at the University of Bridgeport, I spent my younger days playing in rock bands and for musical theater productions.
Then I moved to New York City, where I made my living for years as a piano bar singer/pianist in New York City at clubs like The Duplex in Greenwich Village, Brandy's, and Don't Tell Mama on Restaurant Row in the Theater District, where I still work occasionally; my demo video was recorded there.
I spend my weekend afternoons and evenings performing at private parties and celebrations throughout New York and New Jersey; and leading the music at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Parsippany, NJ on Sunday mornings.
After so many years of working in so many genres, I'm comfortable with nearly every musical job that can come my way! From wedding ceremonies to wedding receptions... classic rock to classical... theater-themed parties... big band... churches... restaurants... your living room or deck... I'm ready to bring you my combination of talent and experience.
