Jim Robitaille overcame technical difficulties streaming his trio to my birthday party from Massachusetts to here in Maine. The result was a magical celebration of my 70th birthday under a tent by the shore. The music was sublime and Jim and his band were resourceful patient and skillful as we worked to make it happen. I now also can listen to the concert again on FaceTime. Thanks, guys! Highly recommended!
Response from Jim Robitaille Group:
Thank you so much for having the trio perform for your birthday event Len. It was a great pleasure for us in every way to meet you and play on the live stream for you and your family and friends.
Warm regards
Jim Robitaille
I'm a DJ and have I've worked with Jim many times over the years. I also book him when a couple wants guitar for their ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Always professional, always prepared!
Response from Jim Robitaille Group:
Thanks Scott. Always a pleasure.
Jim
Jim is a phenomenal guitarist capable of performing all styles of music from jazz to classical to pop to rock to folk, etc. He can provide solo guitar as well as duos and larger groups with other instruments like flute, sax, piano, cello, bass, etc. For this event he played as a trio with guitar, sax & cello. The music ranged from classical to pop selections for the ceremony followed by jazz for the cocktail hour. On top of all this great musicianship he is very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommended!
Response from Jim Robitaille Group:
Thank you Bruce. The pleasure is all mine. You are also a phenomenal musician and person. Bruce Abbott Music is a first rate music events agency on Cape Cod and beyond, and I am honored to work with you.
Regards.
Jim
My review is not for a specific event, but rather my thoughts on Jim Robitaille as a musician and person. I have used him as a jazz and blues guitarist, composer, arranger and leader. His playing is consistently top notch, and he always remains part of the ensemble, rather than overplaying or attracting attention to himself.
As a person, Jim is very easy to work with. When I have a project that requires a significant amount of work, I call Jim because I know he will get it done efficiently without me having to spent energy dealing with temperament or ego issues. His low key work ethic is always a pleasure.
Response from Jim Robitaille Group:
Thank you Neal. It is always a pleasure to see you and perform for your concert series, events, and recordings for Whaling City Sound, You are an amazing patron of the arts.
