Currently I am only booking my solo acoustic act. In the videos section, there’s a few clips for you to view. 3 are samples of my original material and the other a cover song. In my live shows, I perform a WIDE variety of covers ranging from Hank Williams Sr. to Meghan Trainor. People generally want to hear music they know verses original tunes which is why I like to keep my shows diverse. Hopefully I am what you’re looking for and if so, please send me an inquiry!

Jim was on time and had a great play-list. All of my guests commented on how much they enjoyed listening to Jim. Can't go wrong with Jim.

Thank you again for having me be a part of your party! I really appreciated the kind accommodations as well. Always makes my job a whole lot easier dealing with kind people such as yourselves. ALSO, good luck on the new restaurant down in beautiful Station Square and I hope to hear from you in regards to music on the patio this Summer.

Thank you for the review Jenna! I had an amazing time and appreciated your family and staff of the venue being so accommodating. Definitely made my job much easier and comfortable. Wishing you and Shiloh many years of happiness and thank you again for having me be a part of your special day!
We hired Jim to play at our wedding rehearsal dinner last Spring and he was so professional and easy-going to work with. Not to mention he had a great show lined up! To go from playing a Randy Travis tune to "all about that bass" was so incredibly entertaining! He's also VERY affordable when it comes to the level of talent he brings to the stage. Book this guy, he's the best solo artist around and you won't be disappointed..

Thank you for the quick review Chloe.. I remember playing your reception last Spring and you all were so accommodating. Thank you so much for your referral!

What I can provide is quality, solo acoustic music coupled with my voice. Typically my shows are 3 hours in length (2 separate sets).
Jim was raised in the small city of Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Even as a baby, the only way to get him to stop crying was to take him in the other room and play Bob Seger's "Turn the Page" on the family's jukebox. At age 10 he received his first guitar and began taking lessons from his father. When he couldn't learn anymore, he began lessons at Mark's Music (just in town). There, he would further gain the knowledge that would form his musical background. Learning various styles like classical, blues, rock, swing & jazz, at age 14 he decided to go about his own way. At age 16 he heard bluegrass music for the first time and decided to take on the banjo. From there, he eventually picked up the mandolin, dobro, bass fiddle and ukelele.
Jim first stepped onto the music scene in 2007 with a trio bluegrass group. When he graduated High School in 2008, he moved to Flowery Branch, GA where he would stay until later that year when he decided to return home. Upon returning, he formed another bluegrass trio group called "Linefork". That configuration ran for 3 years until he met Jeff Scheller and formed the hard-driving five-piece bluegrass group "Midnight Drive". With Midnight Drive, Jim went to Nashville where they recorded their 1st self-titled album with grammy-award winning producer Randy Kohrs at his personal studio, "Slack Key" in late 2011.
For the past years since 2011, Jim has enjoyed writing music, doing studio work and playing gigs with local-based regional bands as well as doing solo appearances.
I'm able to provide my own sound and lighting. All I would need at the venue is one 3-pronged outlet and a stage area.

I can send you a set list upon request. (It's quite extensive)
My biggest influences stem from older blues/swing guys like Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, Lightning Hopkins, Cab Calloway, Spade Cooley, Bob Willis, etc. For more modern influences, those would have to include artists like Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Buck Owens, Randy Travis, Hank Williams, Steve Miller Band, Dan Tyminski, Jason Mraz, Sheryl Crow, Jimmy Buffett, etc. The list goes on and on..
