Jim performs family friendly magic for kids and adults. He can do close up magic for an event or a show for groups. Jim will engage your guests, kids and adults alike, with fun, humor and magic that happens in their hands. He will tailor his show to make it special for a special person or guests.

Jim Straight came to do upclose magic & to put on a magic show for a Special Needs Community Event on Saturday, 8/24. This was the first time we did this event & he was incredible! He interacted so well with this community of people, making them feel a part of the magic happening & promoting friendship within the magic tricks that he did. Not only did he put on a show in the amphitheater, but he walked around for quite a while interacting with our guests & doing magic upclose. He was amazing & everything went so smoothly! He was well worth the investment & I would 100% bring him back for another event! Thank you Jim!!!

Jim did an awesome job at our event. We were celebrating birthdays that ranged from five years old to 73. Jim did the trick for all the children and adults and they were all wonderful. He’s very personable, made everyone feel comfortable and basically did an awesome job. We would not hesitate to hear him again.

What to Expect
Jim will tailor his magic and show to the needs of the audience. Younger kids enjoy and understand different magic effects and humor than older kids. If there is a range of ages, he will bring an assortment of magic to keep all family members and guests engaged.
When doing close-up strolling magic Jim will help add to an event by keeping guests entertained and engaged. Your guests will experience a variety of magic effects right in front of them or in their hands.
About
Jim has been active in magic for seven years. Jim enjoys giving kids and adults the same experiences he had when he first experienced magic. He wants people find wonder and joy when seeing magic.
Jim graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. While in college he worked in summer camps and outdoor schools. After college he served in the Peace Corps then taught in elementary schools for three years. He then had a career change and became a firefighter and paramedic. Now that he has retired form the fire service he is on to his next career as a magician and family entertainer.
