He showed up on time and ready to set up. The music was excellent! It was the perfect mix that suited the crowd which was a blend of early twenties to late 60s. The guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I ended up giving away the business cards I received from him because guests wanted to use him for future events. I cannot recommend him enough!! I will definitely be using him for future events!

It has taken me all day to find the time to sit down and write this...
It's taken me so long mainly because I have so many AMAZING things to say and I don't know where to begin. Let me start at the top. The venue, a very swanky place, only had one room available for my sister's 50th. This room was the Courtyard and was partially outside. At first the, (they venue), mentioned that we couldn't have a DJ in that room b/c of noise ordinances. At that point we settled on a playlist. As the week went back, and we worked on the playlist ...I realized that ME managing a playlist as I played host to my sister's 50+ friends wasn't going to work. Could I find a DJ to "manage a playlist?" This is what I originally came here to find. After connecting with JL DJ & Sound Entertainment (who responded to me within just TWO hours!) -- I knew I was good hands. Richie was responsive, SO HELPFUL and knew exactly what I needed. He also was smart enough to give me the good advice to GO BACK to the venue and let them know he could bring smaller speakers. He did so and and he kept the volume JUST RIGHT all night long.

More than THAT however... EVERYONE is STILL talking about THE MUSIC at this PARTY!! Guest after guest kept coming up to me and saying "WHERE did you find this guy?!?!".... this music is AMAZING!!!
"NOBODY plays old skool and modern and dance and house like THIS!!!" -- Folks were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT ... never was there a dull moment.

THIS is the DJ you need.
I don't care WHAT kind of event you are having.
And Richie was on time, SO communicative, so friendly, dressed so well and ABSOLUTELY professional. I want to have another event JUST to HIRE HIM AGAIN!!! In fact, I CANNOT wait to do that.

Great DJ for our wedding We hired JL DJ Entertainment for our wedding on 10/30/20 In Southampton today, and I can't recommend him enough! What surprised me was he gave out Hand sanitizers & masks to our guest who didn't bring masks with them which was odd but very interesting. Our wedding had more people than we expected & the DJ kept insisting about wearing mask. We discovered him at a friend's wedding over the summer, and knew we wanted him for our wedding so we wanted the DJ to stay because we had no backup plan. I wanted a DJ who would get the guest on their feet & dancing to the music that I wanted which was christen music, and be able to cater to the mood I was trying to create. Well he succeeded that! My 86 year old Grandma was doing the Cha Cha! Wow who knew! They did a great job with the wedding details, timelines, playlists, and more - and he was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. He did a great job with intros and announcements, he played all of the obscure songs I asked him to (and then some!) and had everyone dancing the whole time. They helped me work with the timeline to keep everything on schedule and made sure all of the various timelines aligned perfectly, so I never had to worry on my wedding day since everything was planned out to the tiniest detail. JL DJ Entertainment was a smash hit at my birthday party. My guests have been calling since the party to say the DJ kept playing their favorite song and they just couldn't get off the dance floor. His mixes will definitely keep the people moving. I would highly recommend JL DJ & Sound Entertainment if you are looking for a DJ company with talent and professionalism of the highest quality.
