Judith Miller, a native Texan, a singer/songwriter & graphic artist. She received the Directors Commendation from Art Spark, Texas, 2022 & is a nominee for Grammy Recording Academy in 2023. Judith’s favorite's are jazz: & old blues. Judith Miller, a native Texan is a disciple of Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Bassey, Claire Martin, Bonnie Raitt and Diane Krall. Her eclectic blend of jazz, blues, country, pop with improvisational style and range make her comfortable with Jazz from BeBop to Swing to soulful Ballads. Judith plays a variety of genres; jazz, blues, light R&B and soft rock. A "Top 5" artist in local jazz on (link hidden) since 1998.
Music Channel-Hollywood (IMC) awarded her in 2013 as "Best Jazz Artist" "Best Jazz Song-writer" and "Best Jazz Producer" of the year. Then IMC awarded Judith the 2015 Radio Music Awards for her original tune "Love Spell" written with Jim Erickson, Best Jazz producer of her original tune" Sad Affairs", Best Live performance for "I Am What I Am” IMC Presidents Award in 2016 for continued participation in IMC musical endeavors. Also in 2016 Judith was awarded the Akademia Music Award for Best Jazz/Lounge Song for "Can't Stop Loving You" IMC Radio Music Awards for her rendition of "Wheelers and Dealers." This year once again IMC honored Judith as “Best Female Jazz Artist” for 2018.
Performing in clubs, homes, restaurants and festivals throughout Central Texas. Judith has an original repertoire & sings many standards as an important part of her on-stage presentation. Her favorite composers include Jobim, Rodgers & Hart, Michael Franks, Dave Frishberg, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, the Beatles.
