Jocelyn was AMAZING!! She made our tiny COVID wedding extra beautiful and feel like a "real" wedding. Her voice is incredible, she was so professional and flexible, and I recommend her to anyone looking for someone to sing/play guitar at their wedding! I loved her music so much I told her I would be first in line to buy her album if she ever recorded one :) Can't say enough great things. Loved this so much more than doing the standard violin trio for our ceremony and band for our reception - Jocelyn played at our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

Jocelyn has performed a number of times at private events for my company and she continues to shine at each of them. She is so kind and provides a full song list prior to the event and during, so that anyone can request a particular song at any given time. She is engaging and people love the vibe she exudes. I was lucky enough to hire Jocelyn for a corporate event and she was the PERFECT fit for us. She arrived on time, was totally self-sufficient in her set-up, and keen on making sure the volume allowed for guests to visit while still enjoying her lovely voice. I hired Jocelyn to play at our company's oyster roast (client networking event) and she was superb. We got a ton of compliments about her. Her voice is beautiful and she is very easy to work with. She sends a full song list that you are able to choose from and she supplements similar songs nicely to round out the setlist. She was very professional and arrived with plenty of time to set up and work out any kinks. I highly recommend her. I hope to hire again for a future company event.

We hired Jocelyn for our Corporate Trade show and she blew us away! We were in one of several hospitality suites and the suite was backed for the full four hours she performed. I lost count of how many people asked us where we found her. Everything about her was top notch, her voice, her musicianship, her sound system, her song selection, EVERYTHING! Jocelyn played this past weekend for my daughter's wedding in Williamsburg, Va. She played at a Friday night welcome party and at the outdoor ceremony and the cocktail hour that followed the ceremony. She was just perfect!!! I also appreciate how easy she was to work with. Jocelyn played a 50th birthday party at our house with about 70 people. She has a great voice, excellent equipment, and a versatile repertoire. She provided background music (using her sound equipment to cover the entire house), as well as getting some dancing going later in the evening. She is able to expand her performance beyond just herself by using loop pedals and other electronic sources. She was professional in all aspects of arranging the gig, showed up early and got set up -- a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

My wife and I could not have been more happy with Jocelyn. She looked Hurricane Matthew in the eyes and laughed in its face when others would have cancelled. Seriously, she brought her generator, played her heart out, and made our event something we will never forget. Hiring Jocelyn to play/sing at our wedding cocktail hour/ceremony/reception in Washington, D.C. was the single best decision we made to make the night special. Our December 2014 wedding reception was soooo much fun. Jocelyn kept us all entertained with songs old and new. The violinist added an additional demension. Jocelyn performed on two separate occasions for my wife and I. I booked her to play our song when I proposed to my wife in Williamsburg, VA. She was a lot of help and even made a video for us to share with our family and friends. She did an amazing job and even made us both shed a few tears with her voice. We booked her for our wedding to play during the ceremony as well as cocktail hour. She played her ukulele during the ceremony and set up for the cocktail hour at the reception with no issues. I searched online for a whim to see if I could find a musician to sing while I proposed to my girlfriend at the fountain in Dupont Circle, in Washington, DC. I came across Thumbtack and messaged Jocelyn based on her great reviews - which are well deserved, because she was awesome! First and foremost, she is a great singer and great entertainer, wonderful at setting the stage and making an unusual situation work flawlessly. She was also a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. I messaged her about 10 days before the proposal was scheduled to happen, and she got back to me immediately, that same night. We stayed in close communication over the next week and a half hammering out logistics. She was responsive, warm and friendly but also completely professional, and very thorough and thoughtful in terms of thinking through all the logistical issues (a surprise proposal, in the middle of the city, in a public space run by the National Park Service, with no electricity, on a weekend scheduled to have a hurricane = lots of logistical issues!). I enjoyed working with her throughout the planning process. She was also flexible in her playing and suggested that she make a few announcements along the way, which I hadn't thought of and ended up being really nice to set the scene (her timing was spot-on). She also asked if I wanted her to take a video of the proposal (something I also hadn't thought of!), which she did, and the video is greatly treasured by me and my fiancee. I could not possibly be happier with Jocelyn and the outstanding performance she delivered at my wedding reception. We found her online and decided to drive down from DC to Richmond to watch one of her gigs. We hired her on the spot. Over the next couple of months leading up to the wedding, she was always super responsive. She felt more like a dear friend and an honored guest at my wedding - that's how awesome this lady is.

I received so many compliments on her throughout the evening. She was absolutely great with the crowd! Her playlist is very extensive, her equipment is top-of-the line, and her voice is just "beauty."

We've hired Jocelyn a couple of times with the most recent being for my father-in-law's 80th birthday party. Jocelyn spoke to us several times prior to the event and mailed a contract for us to sign. She arrived early to set up and played for hours. She took requests from a variety of generations and was able to play/sing most of the requests. One thing is for sure, everyone loved her voice, her showmanship, personality, and professionalism. I recommend Jocelyn for any event.

Jocelyn made our day PERFECT. We found her about a month prior to our wedding (our musician bailed last minute) and luckily, our wedding day just happened to be the one day she wasn't booked yet. She emailed with me, took our phone calls to discuss any questions we had and made us feel like we were a priority. My husband and I booked Jocelyn for our wedding in September of 2015. We used her for both the ceremony and reception. We had heard Jocelyn perform at several venues in the area and her talent is just incredible. We were also able to talk to her at those events and were captivated! We just had to have her instead of a boring "cookie cutter" DJ. Jocelyn was a thrill to work with and even learned a new song just for our special day. She couldn't have done a better job with it!

Communication with her for booking, planning, and execution was flawless. She is polite, professional, and just an absolute joy to work with.

On the big day, she was prompt, fully prepared, and delivered a knock-out performance!! Rain changed the performance from outdoors to indoors, but you would have never known with how smooth of a transition Jocelyn made. The venue was intimate with about 50 attendees and people were floored with her beautiful voice!

Jocelyn played at my husbands 50th bday party. Her music selection was fantastic. She played all the songs people requested. The volume was perfect... We could carry on a conversation but the music was still lively. She was punctual, set up and clean were seamless. She even had a spare speaker for outdoors so people on the deck could enjoy the music she was playing indoors. I would highly recommend Jocelyn!

I've been a fan of Jocelyn's for nearly 10 years and have had the pleasure of booking her at numerous private, neighborhood & Festival events during that time. This past summer, I held a dinner function for 100 guests and located Jocelyn through web browsing within Richmond, VA. Listening to her gift of a voice and certain repertoire, I hired her for my event. She came early, setup, began on time and WOWED my guests. She has a 200 song repertoire. Her electronic equipment produced harmonies with her voice, which created a very full sound. Her acoustic guitar abilities complemented that magnificent voice. She made my party a total success!
