Overview
After playing fiddle for 15 years, I acquired a looping pedal and it completely changed my whole approach. That was 5 years ago, and now I loop violin, playing improvised solos over rhythm sections that I write and record in the moment. It's extremely engaging for musicians to watch, and nice background talking music for all people and any event!
The format is the same with my trio, The Wild Bills. We improvise every show as a trio, scoring each of your moments as we feel out the room and play the music that feels appropriate for the occasion.

If you are looking for something unique and that will make your wedding stand out, Joe is your guy. He was so tailoring to all the changes made throughout the wedding process and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Joe kept this bride up to date and sent multiple videos of songs when we were trying to figure out which ones to play for the big day. He played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and impressed everyone there including me. The talent and professionalism was all there and worth every penny spent. It was elegant, but country and rustic at the same time which matched our vibes perfectly. Could not have asked for a better experience or a better day with Joe Majerus. If you choose Joe for any of your events you will not be disappointed!

Response from Joe Majerus:
Thank you for such a wonderful review, Megan! Love how you described my work. I definitely got the feeling that a country vibe would be appreciated and so I leaned into my roots for your wedding, and that was super fun to do! Thank you for having me!
Joe was simply an amazing pleasure to have at my family‘s private event. Despite having a busy personal and professional schedule, Joe was active and clear in his communication with me when I requested a booking with him, and he let me know all of his expectations on his end as a performer. Despite the chance for inclement weather, he stayed in contact with me regarding any updates to the event, space, and commute all the way down to Branson. Joe specializes in improvisation, and he will add a wonderful color of ambience to any event that you have to plan. This was my first time using GigSalad, and I will definitely be using this platform again for future musicians I will need. I will definitely have Joe for my future events in the Ozarks area. Joe was also wonderfully accommodating in some special requests that I had for my family. Originally, I didn’t plan to come to this family event, and he purchased several single roses for all the ladies at my party. Thank you, Joe, for the wonderful energy, great performance, excellent communication, and overall friendliness that you shared with me in planning and playing for the event!

Response from Joe Majerus:
Thank you, Thomas, for the wonderful review. Thank you also for making sure I got fed! The food was excellent.
The roses were such a nice touch, too. I was absolutely thrilled to get on board with that! I look forward to the next time I get to entertain at one of your events!
I am country music artist, and I have had the pleasure of working with Joe Majerus for a few years now on numerous concerts, and I have been consistently blown away by his ability on the fiddle. He can play almost anything, and his musical instincts are uncanny. For showmanship, tone, creativity and raw talent, you’d be hard pressed to find a better musician. His looping, his writing ability and spontaneity on stage are an instant asset for any artist or event planner. To top it all off, Joe is a thoroughly decent and professional guy, who pursues his craft with a love for people as much a love for music.
Do yourself a favor and hire Joe Majerus! This man is going places!

Thank you for the kind words, Isaac!
Joe was very easy to communicate with. If we had any questions he answered them. If we just needed to check in to make sure everything was good and planned as we said. He made time to call us. He was very helpful in a lot of ways. We needed a microphone last minute for the officiant for ceremony and he provided and came through. So thankful for the experience and made the ceremony magical and everything we dreamed of! His violinist and fiddler skills are exceptional and he played beautifully everything we wanted played! Thank you!

Joe is so passionate about what he does. He went beyond my expectations. Always staying in touch, making sure my wife and I always knew what he was going to do at the ceremony. People complemented his talent. So perfect for the ceremony and reception (dinner). He is extremely humble and that's something we were looking for to be a part of our big day! I can't say about him.

An absolute privilege to serve you guys on your wedding day! Thank you for your kindness!
Joe is so talented! It's an experience to watch him play; so much more than I even expected. We booked him for an out of town wedding. He was prompt and professional. Booking and communicating were easy. He even brought his own chair and rug setup. But yada yada, just book him if you want perfect ambience and a fun vibe.

Had a wonderful time with you guys! Thanks for having me and thanks for the great review!!
Joe arrived early to set up. He located the best spot to not interrupt traffic flow of guests and to see everyone and be sure everyone could see him. His music was great and the guests all commented how much they enjoyed him too.

Thank you for the wonderful response to my music! I had such a good time playing for your birthday party!
I worked with Joe on a recent recording for a dream/ambient pop studio project for commercial and film release. Not only did he take my concept and deliver, he went above and beyond, coming up with multiple takes and ideas that we ended up using on the final recording. As a producer, I work with instrumentalists and vocalists continuously, and it's always refreshing to be on a project with someone who knows their craft so well. Can't wait to work on the next one!!! If you're interested in hearing the final track, look up "Imber" by Ashdotok!!

All I can say is wow!
Look no further for a Violinist, Joe is amazing. He is so easy to work with, he punctual, he is patient, he is kind, & he is talented. I'm honestly a little jealous I didn't get to hear him play along with the other guests. I total faith in him, & we got so many nice compliments from our guests. 11/10 do recommend :)
Thank you so much, Joe for everything!
P.S. He also plays the fiddle in a bluegrass band called The Dirty Strings. They too are awesome!

Thank you so much Emily! You guys were all so kind. My favorite type of people to play for! Thank you for the generous tip!
We booked Joe somewhat last-minute after our other musicians backed out and he was extremely flexible and easy to work with. He was there early and set up smoothly. His style was perfect and made everything fall together. Our grandparents spent most of the reception just watching him play. Thanks so much for an outstanding night!

Thank you Grace!
To those reading, this was a wedding in Bentonville, AR. I worked up custom renditions of the Processional and Recessional music they requested, came down a day early for the rehearsal, and played a few fiddle tunes for the rehearsal dinner, their custom songs for the ceremony, and improv looping for the reception. I did my best to provide as much value as possible! Definitely turned out to be a positive experience for everyone!
Joe and his 3 piece Acoustic Bluegrass Band are very professional and easy to work with. Our combined event was a new adventure for all of us...we had never worked together before...and I normally use pre-recorded, not live music. However, everything went off as planned and all attendees, of all ages, had a great time. Joe's trio easily adapted to whatever type of music I requested in order to teach the group several Square Dance moves and to work them through some basic routines. I look forward to working with this team of professionals again. Thanks guys, I had a Great Time!!

I can NOT rave enough about Joe! He incorporated the traditional wedding march with the Avengers theme song just for us! (super hero nerds in the house!!). It was perfect, he is incredibly talented, and you are nuts if you don't book him!!

We used Joe for a small house party and it was perfect. Highly recommend booking him if you want some great background violin/fiddle music for any size party. Very helpful, punctual, and respectful as well. 10/10 would hire again.

This review is literally glowing! Thanks for having me play fiddle for you guys!
Joe is a joy to work with. He loves music and it is easy to see that when he plays. Joe is a very versatile player that is not locked into a single genre of music, but plays many different types. He responds quickly and takes the time to understand what it is you are looking for.
We had him play solo for the entirety of our wedding ceremony (more traditional violin pieces) and then he joined a bluegrass band for the reception (Amazing at both!). He is easy to work with and I can’t recommend him highly enough! If we ever need a violin/fiddle player for another event, he will be the first person I call!

You're awesome, Chelsey! Thank you!
Joe is a tremendous talent. His style is truly unique - it's magnetic to watch. We booked Joe for a holiday event at our restaurant, and our guests couldn't stop gushing about how enjoyable the experience was. Joe really nailed the ambiance and vibe we were looking for. On top of all this, he's just a really good human being. I had made a *major* error in the original booking process, confusing the dates we needed him. Trust me when I say, it was a horrible mistake that I felt really awful about. Joe was professional, kind, and fair in how he offered to help solve for this. Communication throughout the process was stellar; you can have 100% confidence that Joe will stay on top of every detail and work with you in a responsive and proactive way to ensure a top-notch experience for all. I can't recommend Joe highly enough - if I could give 10 stars, I would!
Joe has played multiple times for us at Finley Farms and he always knocks it out of the park. His sound is extremely unique and he is always very professional. We've had him play for a Valentine's Dinner, our grand opening and more.

Our club was super stoked to book Joe for our Oktoberfest party. He did not disappoint! Joe was extremely professional and very easy to deal with. Joe sounded terrific and all were pleased with his performance. Joe showed his talents by playing the perfect song choices for our event. He was even able to take peoples song requests and perform them well. Our club was extremely satisfied with him both as a musician and as an outstanding gentleman. Thanks Joe, we look forward to having you back again next year!

I hired Joe for an event in Iola, KS and he exceeded all expectations. Talented musician with amazing looping capabilities to fit every vibe we needed. He was also an absolute professional with the booking communication/set-up/execution of the performance. And not to be over looked, he was very a dapper, clean cut gentleman that fit into our event well. Friendly guy that I’ll definitely hire again.

Joe performed for my ceremony and made a very special request come true. He learned how to play my husbands song of choice for my procession. Joe was extremely attentive and took great care of my guest. To add to his amazingness Joe drove from far away to help me out on my special day! Thank you Joe, I truly hope our paths cross again!

Joe Majerus did a great job at our daughter's wedding. Not only did he play his violin, he also made a play list of songs we had selected. Joe was in constant contact with us during the planning of the ceremony and the reception. Joe helped to make our daughter's wedding a beautiful and successful event.

Held at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, this was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever played! I was treated so well by the Gardners, and thoroughly enjoyed this! That list of songs was absolutely awesome, I added many of those songs to my own playlists!
My wife and I were delighted to have Josiah play and sing at our wedding several years ago! He is ultra talented and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. He was extremely easy to work with, and it is obvious he pours his heart and soul into his craft. We can't thank him enough!

What to Expect
I provide nice background music for events of all types. When I'm not playing weddings, you can often find me crafting a juicy fiddle loop in the corner of a restaurant, a coffee shop, or a farmer's market.
I always try to arrive at least an hour early, giving myself a nice buffer to get all set up. I bring my own rig, which usually consists of a 12" speaker, a bass amp, and my pedal board. My PA system pushes more than enough air to fill a medium/large space.
Most of the music I play is instrumental, but occasionally I'll ad-lib some vocals if I'm really feeling it. At this point, I do not do covers. All of the music I play is original, and the large majority of it is made up on the spot. My goal is to provide musically inspired moments rather than canned, planned out tunes. Sometimes you just can't get that inspired playing unless it's the first time you've ever played the tune.
I have had many people tell me that the music I make has a joyful sound to it. It's hard not to play happy, lively, joyful sounding music on the fiddle!
About
I got my start at age 9 learning to play contest fiddle tunes. My siblings also picked up instruments and we began playing bluegrass music together. After high school, I moved to Milwaukee, WI, where I became active in the worship music scene. This helped to expand my idea of what was possible on the strings. After moving back to Missouri, I began gigging around with bands, and in May of 2019 I got my first looping pedal. Since then I've been cultivating a looping process that is now ready to be shared. I would love for music to become my main source of income.
Additional Booking Notes
I bring all the necessary elements. All I need is a space to set up and a power source within 200ft for my equipment.
Set List
Approaching each show with a desire to create something new, I never make up a set list. I don't know what I'm going to play until I sit down and start playing. It always works out, and the music is more inspired for it.
