Joe Marx was an exceptional addition to our wedding day. Joe provided beautiful music during both the ceremony and cocktail hour. His repertoire featured a perfect blend of classic standards during the ceremony and lively melodies for the reception, seamlessly adapting to our requests. Joe's responsiveness from the beginning was remarkable, and he was more than willing to learn new music or accommodate any requirements for our church ceremony.

Our entire experience with Joe was a solid five-star journey, right from the beginning to the end. I won't even need to vouch for his talent; you can see it for yourself on his Instagram, YouTube, or Spotify. His guitar skills truly sound as impeccable in real life as they do online!
We had Joe craft a special song arrangement for my bridal processional, using “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, and it turned out absolutely perfect. Joe even played it again for us during the cocktail hour, which brought my husband to tears (in a good way, of course!). It was undeniably one of the standout moments of our wedding day.

Before the big day, we had a chat with Joe to go over all the details. Since we were using his sound system for the ceremony, he made sure to coordinate with our officiant to ensure she was comfortable using the microphone. He even advised her to move the mic before the "you may now kiss your bride" announcement to avoid any background interference in our photos. This level of attention to detail exemplifies the professionalism you can expect when you hire Joe.

Speaking of sound systems, Joe employs top-notch equipment. We were thoroughly impressed with the sound quality during both the ceremony and cocktail hour. The microphone used during the ceremony worked flawlessly, and all our guests could hear us perfectly. I recently revisited some phone videos from the wedding (not the professional ones, just clips taken on phones), and I was amazed at how well the sound came through, even in those casual videos.

Beyond his musical talents, Joe is just an awesome person to be around. We liked him so much that we invited him to stay for the reception, and dancing with him was an absolute blast!

Joe traveled all the way to Madrid, Spain to be a part of our special
day, playing at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and during our first
dance. He was absolutely extraordinary! Joe took the extra step by
creating a custom arrangement of “Thinking out loud” for our first
dance, which added an unforgettable touch to our evening. He's the
life of the party at a wedding, and he brought an immense amount of
joy to our guests, who continue to rave about how amazing he was!

Joe is an incredibly talented and professional performer. He traveled to Palo Alto to play at our friend group’s graduation party at Stanford last year. Joe knows how to create the right atmosphere for a party and offers a unique experience for your guests (he even played during dinner!). After our event, many of the guests told us they'd never seen anything like Joe's performance at an event like ours. Some even wanted to hire him for their own parties because they were so impressed.
