Joey provided (walk-around) table and live entertainment for our event in Charleston for the 10th Annual Valentine Dinner Dance. Due to the larger and diverse crowd it often takes a while for our guest to call come in, get seated and eat before the band or DJ takes over. The Dance Committee were looking for an entertainment opportunity that would keep peoples mind off of the wait. We found that in Joey, 10 fold. When I was looking for entertainment for a fairly large company Christmas party, all the more traditional channels (vocalist, pianist, etc.) seemed too typical and sort of out-of-fashion for me. I wanted something fresh and different that our group wouldn't be expecting. Joey fit the bill. From his table-side magic to his stage show, he was warm, funny and engaging. I cannot write enough good things about this performer. As a non-profit summer camp, we are continuously seeking great entertainers. Joey was asked to come for an evening activity last year and we were so amazed that without question we knew we had to have him again this year. Today, he certainly didn't disappoint. My daughter and I saw Joey perform at a public library event for the summer reading program. He informed the kids that he first learned magic by reading about it and his magic word was "I love to read!" He used audience management techniques to keep the kids tuned in. He incorporated jokes into the program, which even made the parents laugh. He was a very smooth magician and even taught the kids some tricks. When the kids thought they had a trick figured out, he would throw in a twist that completely stumped us all. Joey also had adults and kids participate in his show.
