My name is John Amato and I am your singer if you want to add some fun, classy and timeless music to your event!
I have performed all over Ontario and the United States and have many years of experience working events and have performed privately for many events in Canada.
I play every Wednesday night at a lounge in Toronto (Jean Darlene Piano Room) and regularly perform public events also!
With a song list of 350+ songs full of hits from Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and more! I sing many jazz standards, old classics, contemporary and vintage pop and Italian songs too!
NEW I've also just added a new SOLO act with backing tracks!
John and his band cranked up the jazz vibes from the get-go, setting a chill yet electric mood!
Highly Recommend!
John put on a great performance at one of our Gin & Jazz nights at Reid's Distillery.
This brilliant young jazz singer excellently brought joy to the audience with a great manner and etiquette.
While songs were greatly presented, the best part was he accepted song requests from audiences (he doesn't even need to look at the music; professional). If you look for a jazz band with a great singer for corporate events or some special moments with live music, you won't regret calling John.
Thank you for our wonderful Valentine's Day Concert!

Professional, dynamic performance with a sharply dressed band. Tight arrangements of music of the American Songbook. Heavily inspired by greats such as Frank Sinatra
John Amato brings his take on classic and modern jazz standards, swinging and singing in the likes of Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme and Michael Buble.
Being raised by a jazz musician father, John was exposed to all the classics at a young age and has been singing as a jazz musician since he was 17. Now with a degree from Humber college's vocal jazz program he performs for audiences, arranges, teaches and runs his own bands. With a great respect for the music and its history, he sings every song with a smooth dynamic energy. He has sung at venues and concert halls across Ontario as a featuring artist and with the Toronto All-Star Big Band.
I am able to provide my own PA and sound system

Hello young lovers
Hello dolly
Hey there
How about you
How high the moon
How deep is the ocean
How insensitive
I believe in you
I can't get started
I can't give you anything but love
I concentrate on you
I could have danced all night
I cried for you
I didn't know about you
I could write a book
I cant believe that you're in love with me
I didn't know what time it was
I fall in love too easily
I get a kick out of you
I get along without you
I got it bad
I got rhythm
I guess I'll hang my tears out to dry
I left my heart in San Francisco
I love Paris
I love you
I only have eyes for you
I remember you
I should care
I thought about you
I wish you love
I won't dance
I'll be around
I'll be seeing you
I'll never smile again
I'll remember April
I'll take romance
I'm confessin that I love you
I'm glad there is you
Im beginning to see the light
I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter
I'm old fashioned
I've got a crush on you
I've got the world on a string
I've got you under my skin
I've heard that song before
I've never been in love
Before
I've grown accustomed to her face
I’ve heard that song before
If I should lose you
Imagination
In a mellow tone
In the cool cool cool of the evening
In the still of the night
In the wee small hours of the morning
Indian summer
It had to be you
It could happen to you
It's a blue world
It's only a paper moon
It's alright with me
Is you or is you ain't my baby
It's always you
It don't mean a thing
It never entered my mind
It's a blue world
It's the talk of the town
Just friends
Just in time
Just one of those things

Just squeeze me
Just you just me

No moon at all
Old devil moon
Oh look at me now
Oh you crazy moon
Oh look at me now
Old folks
On a slow boat to China
On the street where you live
On the sunny side of the street
One for my baby
The one I love
Orange colored sky
Our love is here to stay
Out of nowhere
Over the rainbow
Once in a while
Once upon a summertime
Out of this world
People will say we're in love
Polka dots and moonbeams
Poor butterfly
Paper doll
Pennies from heaven
Put on a happy face
Route 66
Round midnight
Rock-a-bye your baby with a dixie melody
Satin doll
Shadow of your smile
September song
She's funny that way
Skylark
Smile
Softly as in a morning sunrise
Someone to watch over me
Sophisticated lady
South of the border
Speak low
Spring can really hang you up the most
Spring will be a little late this year
Star eyes
Some of these days
Some other time
Stars fell on Alabama
Stella by starlight
Stolen moments
Stardust
Stormy weather
Strangers in the night
Summer wind
Sunny side of the street
Sweet lorraine
Summertime
Sway
Take 5
Taking a chance on love
Tangerine
Tea for two
Teach me tonight
tenderly
That old black magic
That old feeling
That's life
There will never be another you
The second time around
There's a small hotel
The shadow of your smile
These foolish things
They can't take that away from me
They say it's wonderful
The things we did last summer
Then i'll be tired of you
Time after time
Too close for comfort
Too marvelous for words
Too young to go steady
The party’s over
The song is you
Unforgettable
Until the real thing comes along
Violets for your furs
Walking my baby back home
Watch what happens
Waltz for Debby
Wave
We’ll be together again
The way you look tonight
What is this thing called love
What a wonderful world
What kind of fool am I
What'll I do
What's new
When sunny gets blue
Where are you
Where is love
Whisper not
Why do I love you
Where or when
Will you still mine
Willow weep for me
Witchcraft
Wrap your troubles in dreams
Without a song
Yes indeed
Yesterdays
You and the night and the music
You go to my head
You make me feel so young
You do something to me
You stepped out of a dream
You're nobody till somebody loves you
You'd be so nice to come home to
You don't know what love is
Young at heart
You’ve changed
You're the top
You turned the tables on me
Zing went the strings of my heart
